Im graduating college in 2 weeks and my birthday is this week so I made an appointment with he stylist that I always go to, when I get to the salon they make me sit and wait for 30 minutes past my appointment time waiting for my stylist to arrive. After making some phone calls they inform me she's not coming in that day and she only works the weekends. So now that I'm an hour past my appointment start time they say I can come back when she works or wait and have someone else do my hair. Now because I had already taken off work that day I agree to have someone else do my hair. My new stylist was called in on her day off and she rushes through my hair and the whole time is talking about how she had to make it to a job interview afterwards. I tell her what I expect from my hairstyle and how I normally get it done but she continues to rush and suck her teeth. When she finishes she shows me in the handheld mirror and everything looks OK, just a little different from my usual stylist. So I pay and give her the tip meant for my USUAL stylist and go home(Now hours after I expected to be done). Later in the day I realize my color is completely off, after seeing it in the direct sunlight and I'm walking with my mom and she tells me all my tracks in the back of my head are showing!! So I call the owner and tell her I'm displeased and I come in and see her, she's very rude to me from the door, dismissing all my concerns about the hair when she could clearly see the tracks showing through my hair! She says the only way I could my money back was to sit down and have all the hair removed by someone in the salon. So at this point I'm in tears because this salon has wasted my hard earned time and money and now that I'm coming back to politely explain my issue I'm being treated like dirt. So I wasn't going to waste another minute in there and have them treat me like I wasn't a loyal paying customer, so I left in tears and had to go home and take my hair out anyway and am now stuck with no hairstyle for my birthday...
Read moreI scheduled a hair cut over the phone with James for 10:30am the next morning. I arrived on time the next day and wasn’t greeted by the barber staff. One young barber had an attitude and asked me if I had needed help. He probably assumed that I was an African lady because of my hair wrap and my appearance. I told him that I had an appointment with James at 10:30. He walked to the barber area and then lied claiming that he thought that I had a 1pm appointment; I said no,my appointment is for 10:30am. Well, then he said James is finishing up a customer’s hair and will cut your hair next. The barber then ordered me to sit across to the women’s salon side instead of directly in the barber’s waiting area. So I sat and waited for 45 mins and watched two male customers exit the barber side and then two more male customers came in for their haircut. Only one female stylist had greeted me hello. The barber saw me waiting and deliberately ignored me. Then he took in the two new customers for their haircut. Apparently they didn’t want to cut my hair and had poor customer service. I grabbed my purse and walked out in disgust.the salon overall seemed snooty and was not accommodating at all to me. I will never return...
Read moreI visited this salon today with an appointment for 11 am. When I made the appointment with Woo I informed her I need to be done by 12:45 pm for work. I arrive at 10:50 am, I stand at the desk and finally a barber greets me and informs me Woo isn't there. Around 11:10, I ask if Woo had arrived because another woman walked in and went straight to the back and hadn't come out. The barber informs me Woo isn't here and he calls and says she will arrive in 2 minutes. At 11:20 pm Woo walks in and at 11:25 instructs me to come over to begin. I inform Woo again of what I need and my need to leave at 12:45 pm. Woo assures me we have plenty of time. At 1:15 pm I am somewhat done, I leave with a wet twisted style. The style looks awkward, so I had to stop at a beauty supply store for a hat. I cannot wear my hair like this to work. No apologizes for lateness, and I paid $65.00 for I don't know what. I would've preferred the professional courtesy of having my appointment rescheduled. The professionalism and abilities are lacking from what I experienced being...
