Winn-Dixie — Local services in Edgewater

I have had some not so great experiences here a while back ago but thought I'd give them another chance. Boy was that a big mistake. I went superbowl weekend so I knew it would be busy. The lines were not bad for checkout though but of course not 1 single bagger. While I was bagging my groceries the cashier talked the whole time with another cashier who was on break. I had a $1 coupon that was attached to my gatorade that I gave her which she then told me that the register wouldn't accept it that I could use it next time. I told her that I would like to use it now seeing that I was buying the product now. She said she wasn't allowed to key it in that I would have to wait for a manager. I also tried to give her my rewards card but she said she had already started the order that she would do it at the end. After waiting 5 minutes for a stupid $1 coupon I just gave up and told her to forget about it and I proceeded to pay. When she gave me my receipt I saw my $300+ total and saw she did not use my rewards card. I told her this and she then said "Oh I must have had a brain fart. You'll have to go to customer service to fix it". Of course by this point there was a long line at customer service and I had to wait in the long line. When I finally got up there I explained to the office lady what had happened. She called the cashier on the phone and proceeded to tell the girl that her mistakes are unacceptable and she can't keep making them. It kind of upset me the way the situation was handled. Yes they should have talked to the girl but not like that and it should have most definitely been in private. At this point I was over it and asked for a refund on all the groceries because I just wanted to go home. Shortly after the manager finally came over to fix my bill so I could get the deals I was suppose to. He did apologize for everything that happened but unfortunately at this point it makes no difference. I will not be returning to Winn-Dixie until some serious...

Winn-Dixie needs to stop treating me and other customers as if we don't know how to do basic mathematics! Or as if we forget from week to week how much our favorite yogurt cost. As if doubling the price and putting a BOGO sale sign on it would somehow trick me!! The same with all their BOGO sales, Bag chicken breast that cost$7.98 normally when placed on BOGO sale then cost $12.98 BOGO, so rarely rarely are there any actual buy I've get one free sales on the shelves! WatchWatch Watch DO NOT BE FOOLED! I noticed shopping yesterday, the new trick looks like a "buy 2 get one free" well the sign is written and designed so that the 2 is very small placed inside a circle so that you almost over look the fact that it's a buy 2 get one deal!! I hate to be treated stupid and I hate to have to spend so much time trying to read the fine print, checking the actual prices. They do offer a $1 aisle now which is where I caught a nasty trick yesterday. Box store brand tall kitchen garbage bags 10 bags for $1 ok nice deal. I grab 2 boxes, and stop by regular garbage bags aisle. They have a BOGO sale going on SAME bags. That deal is" BOGO box of 20 white tall kitchen garbage bags" great deal right? WRONG WRONG WRONG!! This box of bags actually cost $4.99 for 20bags!!! So what cost me $2 for 20 bags on the other aisle, now cost me $2.50 more on this aisle!! 40 bags for $5 or 40 bags for $4!!! I just think I should be able to go into my local grocery store without literally being ripped off, tricked and scammed by the store itself!!! I have gone round and round over this same kind of trickery with my mother and sister, they are exactly the customers Winn Dixie count on to get away with this stuff. OK, first things first. I see so many lies on this review page, Someone talking about trickery with bogo sales, poor customer service etc. I have been shopping at this winn dixie for over 9 years. In my 9 years of shopping here, i have never been "Tricked" by bogo sales, the bogo sales are correct, you do save A LOT of money shopping at winn dixie compared to publix and walmart. The prices at winn dixie are unmatched for most things. I paid $12 for 4 lb's of T-BONE Steak, Very good cuts, you will not find deals like this ANYWHERE Else. The customer service is actually quite amazing, its the same as any other store e.g publix/walmart. The store is rather clean, bakery, meat and seafood departments are spectacular clean. Under the shelfs are mopped and cleaned every day. They pay a floor guy 7 days a weak to clean the entire store on a daily basis, Cleanliness is a 5/5. There is only ONE true issue at this store and that is checking out, if you want to shop on the weekend, it will be a good 10-15 minute wait time in line at the registers, they usually only have 2 or 3 registers open at a time, no idea why that is, i believe they dont have the hours to give to cashiers so they space them out as much as possible. If you go on a weekday after work, you can get in an out really quick, very low and small wait times.
