Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Edgewater

Visiting every single one of the Chick-fil-a's from here in Edgewater to the one in Sanford I would have to say...food is never completely cooked. Too many staff tripping around each other behind the counter, prices would not be so bad if you used to get what you originally got since they opened! Yes, size does matter! It seems to me that the grilled chicken sandwich is way much smaller, cross-cut fries cut larger so as to fill the container with less, and the fake grins on the employees faces about how happy they are to see you upon arrival and then once you have paid, they call ypur name, hand you your order, and it is almost as though you were never there and all is repeated.over again! Mostly I was eating at the one closest to my home in Edgewater when I moved to the neighborhood several years ago. However, once I began visiting on a regular basis, practically every day. Sorry, I do not like having to cook for one most nights! Anyways, it was then that I decided to go to Port Orange and try their store/restaurant. Then onto Holly Hill, the one in Orange City, Sanford, and finally their store off exit 92 and I-4 and I have to say, Port Orange location is by far the best of all. Food was hot, reasonably priced, just the way I ordered it for once, and I did not feel like I just wasted a good $10 on a meal I would later be regurgitating! Sorry, that did not come out right! What I meant to say is most of their stores use way too much seasoning, ergo the "burping!" It is amazing to see so many employees, in most stores, manage to work well with other members at Chick-fil-a. Best part of all the stores- their cleanliness, except for the Edgewater location! During the day I never have any issues, always great fast friendly efficient service. But the last few times I have gone through the drive thru in the evening around 8pm, part of my order is always forgotten. Which is frustrating because I get home and don't have all of my food. Then I have to drive back up there. and this last visit, stand at the counter and wait for someone to awknowledge me because everyone is too busy in their conversations... meanwhile my whole family is at home and already eaten their food and I just finally receive mine, I'm assuming the manager (being that he was dressed differently) tossed on the counter for me. No regard, no apology, not even a smile. He just tossed the bag of nuggets they forgot on the counter and continued on with his conversation with a coworker. This scenario would be understandable at McDonalds but DEFINITELY didn't...

So my first time trying Chik-Fil-A and I was excited to finally try them as I'd always heard great things. Unfortunately, this Chik-Fil-A did not live up to the hype. First, I'd always heard how friendly and polite the staff at these places were. While they were polite, everything about them was "going through the motions" and unethusiastic. I didn't realize that at Chick-fil-A things that are standard at every other restaurant (lettuce, tomato, sauce, etc) are "deluxe", so I was surprised to find my sandwich was basically chicken between two buns. The patty's flavor was good, at least. And finally, my drink order was wrong, even though I questioned the fellow at the window when he said something different... and then reassured me it was actually what I'd asked for (it wasn't).
