Plainfield West Nine — Local services in Edison

This course offers very affordable rates, seems to always have open tee times, and can't beat hot deals (Golf Now). The course is surprisingly well groomed because of its big brother country club across the street (Plainfield East). Though it plays on the shorter side and a little rough around the edges in certain spots, has 3 short Par 4s (1 being driveable at ~235 yards),and is a par 66 (if playing 18), it offers decent variety and challenge. Very low-key vibes, nice layout/design, friendly and chill staff, and good for medium to high handicappers like myself to work on their games without forking up big bucks, the crowded tee times and hassle of the neighboring courses. Greens are immaculate!. Fairways and bunkers aren’t the best, and course layout a bit weird.. id play here again knowing the layout now. I knew to keep driver in the bag for everything except first 2 holes (even those not necessary). When I play here again I may change my rating😂. Course was BACKED UP!. I had no time for 18 so only got in 9.. Starter was a cool guy.. and guy in the clubhouse was also a cool guy. Made a reservation here a week in advance and showed up and the staff was telling me “that’s not possible, that’s not true” and then they check and saw that I was in the system. Then they told me i needed to leave anyway. I even called and checked if I could come before I showed up in the morning and they told me yes then I show up and they said I couldn’t play because of a tournament. Whoever I spoke to on the phone was there and even lied and said he never spoke to me.
