China Buffet — Restaurant in South Plainfield

These people are thieves. I left a pair of headphones at my table me being the last one there for the night at about 9:47 pm. I left not realizing I had left my headphones at my table. At 10:40 pm I drove back to the buffet hoping at least someone would be there so I could retrieve my headphones. It turns out it was closed so I came the following morning to inquire of my headphones. When I asked the manager about them following morning, she (WITH HEADPHONES IN HER EARS THAT WERE MINE) pretended like she didn’t speak English. She gave me constant attitude and was almost upset that I even came back for what was mine. She then told me to go inside the restaurant and walk to my table to see if there were still there, she practically attempted to insult my intelligence and undermine me in doing so. Obviously the headphones were not at the table because they clean the tables and everything on it before they close down. When I initially arrived the day prior I noticed that I was the only one there and the parking lot was completely empty... this should’ve been a red flag. These people are thieves. What goes around comes around. As for the manager I pray she has something happen to where she learns not to steal others things. She literally had my headphones in her ear while telling me “no one took your headphones.” Mind you as I stated above I WAS THE LAST ONE IN THE BUFFET BEFORE CLOSING. Do not go here there rice is dry. There low mien smells like old gym socks and there portions are cold. Also heard animal noises as I was sitting down right before closing, which prompted me to stop eating and ask...

THIEVES, THIEVES, THIEVES!!! I was attending a party in the party room & I used the bathroom & left my phone behind. There was an employee cleaning the restroom who was the only one in sight. Two minutes after realizing I had left it behind, I went searching only to discover that my phone was no longer there. I asked management and all of the servers, including the bathroom attendant & they knew nothing about my phone (supposedly)

After searching the party room and not finding anything, I had an itch that something just wasn't right! I asked the man at the desk to check the cameras & his response was "is that really necessary".. at which point I decided to call the cops. The minute the cops were mentioned, he said something in chinese to his employees, 4 of them rushed to the back area & then back into the party room. Shortly after this, my phone was found under a table in the party room.

Here's the best part, my phone had full battery prior to misplacing it , but when it was returned, it was turned off. The cops came shortly after my phone was found & told me they would take care of the rest. It's not the device that matters, it's the principle. THIEVES!!!! I wish I could...

Scam Alert!/Alerta Estafa!

I've had issues with this place twice now. The first time, they added an extra soda on my bill. This time, they added a meal entree in a strange way. We are two adults, but they charged the second entree as 2x child entrees, making our bill $1.50+ higher (see attached photo).

When I questioned the server, she quickly snatched the receipt, went to the table in front of us, and came back with a corrected one, claiming it was a mix-up. However, no one sat at that table or any adjacent ones during our entire visit. The timestamp was the nail. She was agitated that we discovered this

They seem to target customers who don't read their receipts, probably preying on the many non-English speaking people from local Latin communities that visit this place. These subtle charges can rake in a substantial amount. Don't support...
