I was looking into selling some of my cards to this store. Iâve been sitting on dups in hopes of building second complete decks once my core ones are complete. I had called into the store before asking about how they buy cards. Since I work in a trade based store I wanted to make sure I made it easy for them. He told me theyâd take a look at them, but said âDonât come in right now because Iâm tired & donât want to deal with itâ. I laughed it off but he wasnât kidding. I thanked him & hung up. At that time, I decided not to sell. I came in months later on Dec 20th, 2016. I went there with my brother and a friend. I saw one guy helping a customer when I came in. He seemed really nice but then out of the back area, a guy w/ a goatee wearing glasses came out. He side-eyed me for a second then greeted me. When he did, he asked if I needed help. I said yes & told him I was wanted to sell some of my cards. He didnât say a word to me, just started picking up my stacks. I had about 10 sets. I had them all organized by series, card number, & in order by year of release (in case they didnât buy older sets). Heâs looking through them in silence as my brother & I talked. He then looks up and says âHow many cards do you think you have?â I started ttrying to figure out how many I had with me. I didnât realize I needed to count them. I have 1700 duplicates. I had pulled about 900 rares out to keep. I figured I had between 700-800 in the tins. The guy said âOk so you have 400 cards.â I corrected him & said I think I have between 700-800. He was giving me a look like I was stupid. I offered right then to take them home, count them. He said no and that he thought I had closer to 500 cards. I thought that was a bit low and offered once again to take them home and count them. He then got snippy and said he wasnât âgoing to pay me off my estimate of 700 if there are only 500â. I said I get it but at the same time, I donât want to be on the short end either. This was the last time I offered to count them. At this point he walked away without saying anything. I looked at my brother and his fiancĂ© with a look of amazement at his attitude. I started to gather my cards to leave when he returned he had a cardboard box that said it holds 660 cards. He stacked all my cards up and held the box beside it (not even flush with the counter, it was about an inch off the flat service) and it looks like maybe half the box was full. He then looked up and said âSee, about 400â then took the box away. I didnât want to sell to this store. I said âI think Iâm gonna go find another store. I didnât know I was going to get so much attitude here.â His retort was âExcuse me? Youâre the one with the attitude.â I was already walking to the door when I turned around & told him that he was disinterested from the moment I walked in. I explained that I take trades for a living and the lack of even pretend consideration was appalling. We started back out the door and he said âHey, just calm down man.â At this point my brother stepped in, turning and saying âIs this how you talk to customers?â The guy then walked aggressively towards us. He started shouting about how he has years of experience in the business and knows how many cards were there. I told him just to forget it and that I personally donât want to do business and that if any person ever asks me what shop to come to for cards, I was going to tell them to stay clear of this place. He then had a moment where he said âWe just need to work together with this.â We left the store and sitting in the parking lot I was shaking in anger. Here we are 5 days before Christmas. I am selling my cards I took time, money and effort in the past to collect, so that I had a little bit of extra money for the Holiday and this guy here thinks that is how you treat customers. (Oh and if the guy I dealt with happens to read this, it was 677 cards in my 2 tins, just as...
Read moreI spent hours sorting through and picking out a ton of comics from behind the counter. Once it got time to checkout the employees said they havenât priced those books in a couple of years and that they would need to reprice everything. Tell me this before I waste my time. The new total was nearly double. And the total was insane, literally triple the cost of low grade reader copies you could snag online. They have various grades marked on the back of the boards with prices correlating with various grades. They then choose a grade on the spot for your price based on one of several grades written on the back of the board. I went in twice and asked about the same book just to see if their prices were random and I got two different prices and grades for the same book on my two different visits. It felt as though based on how much they believe you know about comics, will determine what they try to charge you at that time. An employee even tried to tell me that a first cameo appearance for a character is every time they debut in a series. That would mean every character has dozens of â1st cameosâ. This is inherently wrong and they were quite stubborn about it. Warning to all collectors, each character just has one first cameo appearance in regards to key collecting. As a store if you need to reprice books then reprice them, donât just make up new prices once itâs time for someone to checkout. Iâve been to every store now between Bellingham and Tacoma and no one else has ever done this. A reply with excuses about the time is takes will be ridiculous because you magically found the time immediately right when...

For PokĂ©mon: The selection is very good and they have a bit of everything (sealed). Their singles arenât very abundant, at least ones worth more than $20, but if youâre looking to complete a master set then this is a great place to start. As for packs and booster boxes etc, they are on the high end of current prices, and if youâre looking for a good deal financially, I wouldnât recommend any of their pokemon products (sealed). This is however normal for the current market and many LGS are doing the same thing.
Magic the Gathering: Stock is somewhat limited, but still a large selection available. The prices are above market for most things, and thatâs normal, however there are better deals to be had. Supporting your local store is a great thing to do, however if youâre just popping in town and want to get something youâve been looking for, I recommend online sources such as EBay/TCG.
Overall, they had a lot of different items in store, ranging from comic books, board games, trading cards and a bunch of other things. This place is a cool store to go to and I recommend checking it out...
