Still trying to find an excellent Pho restaurant in this area. Sadly, the Pho here is ok. Broth could be better.

I’m rating this Pho restaurant a 1 Star, would’ve given at least a 2 Star, but as this was my first time eating at this restaurant I have to say my first experience did not go well.

One of the things I hate the most is when someone decides to come fill up the condiments at my table when I’m already seated. I completely understand if they were so busy and if the table absolutely needed to be refilled at that moment. I would rather wait until it’s done so that I’m not in the way of the employee. That was not the case this time. There were only 3 tables being occupied at the time including ours and many empty tables that could’ve probably been restocked instead. From my view, each item at our table was well stocked, the Sriracha sauce was filled, there were plenty of chopsticks, spoons, and the chili oil container was in good shape. From my view nothing needed to be filled. As our food comes out, another employee comes from the side to take the chili oil container to refill. We didn’t bother to say anything only because he grabbed the container from the side, and no one was sitting on our sides. He returned to place the container the same way he grabbed it. I thought he was done, but then as I was about to take my first bite of Pho, out of no where here he comes right smack in between my boyfriend and I to add some spoons. Mind you, I was sitting across from my boyfriend, at this point, I backed my head and was thrown off by this because he seriously had no consideration that we had our food in front of us and on top of that the top half of his body went over our food just to add spoons to the already filled up section. That’s when my boyfriend decided to say a something. I don’t understand why this couldn’t be done before a guest sits at the table or after they’ve finished eating. On to the next...

I have to update my review after visiting the restaurant today. We came in with a toddler today 11/18/23, the female waitstaff asked how many people in our party. I said three with a toddler and she just pointed out a table for us. They didn’t give us a high chair and didn’t even told us where’s the high chair is. There are 3 female staff quickly gave us water (only two water for 3 people). Didn’t give us any kids bowl or anything like that. It’s like my child didn’t exist. I have to ask the waitstaff if she can give me at least one more water for my child. I told her last time we came in you guys have some stuff for kids. She acted like she doesn’t know and said rudely that there’s only same kind of water cups for her.

It’s hard to see their staff sitting on the tables and use the phone when the customer actually needs help with getting the high chair, grabbing kids stuff and noticing the kids. They have many table available but they work like they rush us with their quick service and rude attitude. I don’t know if it’s because it’s a change of staff. Today is really odd.

The meat that we ordered also didn’t came out red In the beginning. It’s just pretty much brown when they served it. Wonder if it’s actually fresh

Previous review: Everyone in my family loves this pho and the cream puffs. Including my one year old!! The staffs there are friendly and welcoming, the service is fast, the foods is always good. They also gave my toddler a bowl, fork, and scissors to cut the noodles. How thoughtful! I personally enjoy eating the generous bean sprouts, basil leaves and limes that they gave us with the delicious pho. Definitely the place where my family would come back over...

The food and price were decent but the owners and workers are terrible and unethical . First this is a CASH ONLY restuarant, with no sign stating it is at the front door. Second they don't tell you when taking your order but they bring you a desert first which ee did not eat, but we go to pay and hand them my card but refused and told me it was cash only.and pulled out a sign behind there desk saying so and told us to use the atm. Which they get a portion of the fee for. So I went to get cash from my bank,. I asked to see my bill since.i did not trust them and found out i was being charged for the desert they put at our table that we didn't ask for or touch. They didn't believe that we didn't eat them and said my son ate one which he didn't so they went and checked our table and found all four sitting there. They took that off the bill and when I paid they shortaged me 7 dollars on my change. I asked why there was no sign and they named customers pulled in off months ago., when I asked why they didn't tell us they said we should know because they have seen us here before which is incorrect because it was my first time there with my family and they should of known that since we asked why they brought us the deserts and why we are angry about having to run to the bank and back. . First and last time I ever...

Quick review: •Good quality pho •Has freebie cream puff •Affordable price •Good, clean environment •Friendly service; staff lunch break at 3:30pm •Accepts credit card but takes &.50 sub charge I had been to other Than Brothers locations, but it was the first on this one. The other pho place I patronized a lot in the past has significantly increased the price, thus sadly, not as affordable anymore. After all our goal of searching good food is affordability but not sacrificing the quality. Than Brothers at Wallingford, the other pho place I visited sometimes, has stopped offering the yummy cream puff with their pho last few times I been there. I was surprised to see that they have the cream puff on the menu at the Edmonds restaurant still, and more surprised to see that they gave me one with my pho! Whoa! I like this place. Pho is good, hot, big as usual. I decided to order a medium in here, because I saw the fresh salad rolls on the menu too. The rolls were very decent. No crunchy pieces inside, but fresh and well packed. The price of the food items are reasonable and still affordable. When I came in at 3:10pm I saw a sign outside states “Staff lunch break 3:30pm”, but I don’t think they closed the door during that time. And they do charge a fee of $0.50 for using the credit card.

The staff is nice enough but a medium pho is like 5 wafer thin pieces of beef and a half pound of chopped up noodles that are impossible to use chopsticks on. All that aside, this location is getting 2 stars because it's NOT listed on their website... so we end up calling the wrong restaurant and placing takeout orders that are miles away. Apparently this happens ALL the time. This is why folks, update your website.
