Crab bisque that seems well promoted is deserving of those promotions.
Place is difficult to navigate. Ingress and egress should have signs with overhead lights to see where to enter and leave, also signs navigating inside the parking lot and arrows on the pavement showing how to get safely through the parking lot. Entry to restaurant was NOT easy to find, I had to walk around 3/4 of the building to find the entrance since I parked on the side that has the exit to the street, as I mentioned there are no signs giving directions. This made the entrance I found to he the bar and I was not prepared for the loud band. However, I will say it is well soundproofed, I did not hear the band from the parking lot. At least they do not impose noise pollution to surrounding areas and businesses. IMO this is thoughtful.
The main reason I chose to order from III Guys, the crab bisque, was very thick and crab meat was big and chunky, they did NOT skimp. I will be ordering it again! The stuffed mushrooms were tasty, however you only receive four for $13 + tax, too little for the price IMO. I'd say at least 6 for that price would be worth it 8 would be fantastic. The burger patty melt was good size and very tasty, I wish it was packaged better for takeout. It was wrapped in foil and in styrofoam container without ventilation for the steam to escape and it lost the crispiness desired of a grilled sandwich. I chose coleslaw a thee dinner side I chose, was the downfall. IMO the juice was too thick and it had a bit too much of a fermented flavor for my preference and an out of place taste of black pepper. You might enjoy it just fine, these are my opinions.
Staff was typical in busy and loud bar. I could not hear and had to hand gesture I was there for a pickup order. Pickup counter attendant Paula, had a big friendly smile as I entered.
Overall rating 3+ The crab bisque was the star of the show here tonight, redeeming what I felt needs improvement, i.e. lack of safety of parking lot, entry, exit and entrance to restaurant itself too. Suggest a well lit sign designating the bar entrance and directions to main entrance.
My ratings, I strive to be honest, objective and descriptive. 1 = unredeemable 2 = needs improvement 3 = as expected it should be but can use adjusting, average 4 = great 5 = across the board above and...
Read moreMy 1st time as a customer and last visit due to the insolent sarcastic and very unpleasant waitress upon taking our order to speaking to us in a very disrespectful way. I had to take a minute on pause to understand what is happening? We asked about what’s kind of soup 🍜 was on this menu and was given so much sarcastic answer as why we didn’t know or never heard of that kind of soup before. I apologize for never hearing and wasting her time to explain to us what kind of soup it was, so much that I forgot the name of it because I was taken back of the unnecessary behavior. We didn’t want to lower our level to hers because we like to try new things and ordered something else simple as a pizza instead. Pizza was just ok, service was a rate of a zero. The building and decoration was very nice 😊 which attracted us to this place. The waitress welcomed our atmosphere to a very uninvited coldness with her indolent behavior to never come around but to collect the check and to speak to us in demeaning manner to just lay the money on the table if your gonna tip and I’ll take it later. We only gave her a small tip based on her service of at least coming to our table to place the order. We don’t believe in not tipping even when someone is extremely rude. We understand how hard it is to work as a waitress. She was unthankful. We are not sure if this waitress was having a bad day but whatever her excuse is, please change your perspective when service to the public, not everyone will understand the unkindness. I rate this place based on service as just Poor Service. Thank you. We have no desire to revisit based on our first...
Read moreI'm not impressed. We will not be back. My family of 4 went to lunch and left disappointed. The service was slow (we are very patient, so that wasn't a big deal), but our waitress was not friendly. She seemed annoyed to be there. I asked for French onion soup to start when we ordered our drinks, but she forgot those until I reminded her. As for our food, the soup was fantastic...in fact, the best part. I requested no onion on my house salad, but it had a few small onions, so I think it was just hand-picked off of a premade salad. The boneless bites did not have much sauce or seasoning, so the flavor was overall very bland. My pasta with added broccoli was not good. The menu price of the pasta dish and price we were charged were different. I informed the waitress, she insisted I was incorrect and brought over the menu to prove her point. She was surprised to see I was correct and said the menu must be wrong and no one had ever said anything in the 1.5 years this menu was out. We had already paid by this point, so I said not to worry about it. We left unhappy, but we eat out a lot, so they can't all be good ones...On a positive note, they did have very nice seasonal decor...
