When they say they're "the place with the helpful hardware folks," they aren't lying. Above that, though, they have one of the best hardware stock/variety/selections around. I went to 7 other stores before going to Ace (due to direction of travel more than anything) and came up short every time, and I'd be lucky if the employees I asked would know enough to tell me they didn't have what I was looking for so I didn't have to scavenge around myself. The second I walked into Ace I was greeted by someone who essentially said "let's see what we can do" to my request and then brought me back to the exact section the parts would be in. It took me a while to get the right combination of things together, but he delivered on his word to find what I needed, even calling the Northfield store to source the last few parts. This store is great love how it's conveniently located. Good amount of parking. Store is very neat I'm appearance from outside. Once inside you will find a very pleasant and helpful staff always willing to point you in the right direction. They are very knowledgeable of the products they carry. They have a vast selection of outdoor supplies and very top quality of grills and grilling supplies. The shelf's are kept full of stock and are competitively priced. They have a excellent paint department. They carry Stihl products and a dealer so you can order if they don't carry in stock. Oh I forgot they carry Benjamin Moore paint I would rather go there than most of the other big chains because of the excellent...

I love this place. Granted they are conveniently located just a couple miles from my home.

The staff is always super friendly and helpful and even though the prices might be a little higher compared to your blue and orange super box stores, if you become an ACE rewards member you frequently get coupons which practically offset the price difference. They even pop fresh popcorn for the kids (or adults).
