South End Pizza III — Restaurant in Egg Harbor Township

Used to be Good pizza, fair prices. Ordered two pies today. One large steak and one large Hawaiian and some extra sauce on the side. They charged me $22 for the Hawaiian and another $22 for the steak. I asked about it and they said that a large one topping would be more expensive than the cheese steak pizza, hence the specialty pizza charge. A Cheese Steak pizza comes with onions and green peppers which I didn't want. I ask for extra sauce on the side and the girl at the counter asks the guy how much to charge, he says two bucks, I watch the total on the register go from $46 and change to $49.91. Confused??? me too. I ask for the receipt and she rips off the bottom with only the total and throws it on the counter toward me. Not only did the girl have major attitude but she purposely overcharged me for the sauce after overcharging me for the pizza. Went on slice to see if I'm delusional or not. The two pies ring up at $36.81 (Slice may have added some online discounts but still not the $44 for two pies), before any extra sauce charges or taxes. I have been ordering from this place since the day they opened. In the past I may have made more of a stink but today, No Problem, You've Lost My Business. I will not be back. I’ve been coming in to this establishment pretty consistently for the past three months. Most of the time take out. But this last time, dining in was an experience that led me to write this review. And my hopes of writing this review is that there is an awareness then maybe some change. I prefer servicing local businesses to franchises any day. But when the local business forgets that customers are present when they have conversations, that’s a problem. There’s a saying that religion, politics, and sex are the three topics that you should never have in a public setting. Violating those three topics of conversation can lead to a loss of business, especially in front of children. I wanted so badly to say something, but I imagined that I would’ve been confronted with “If you don’t like it, you can leave!” Here is what I wanted to say. There are people in our community that work at FAA and have lost their jobs. There are people in our community who’ve had family and friends deported. Whether you are agreeable to how these things are done having this conversation with mocking and making fun of it, is just wrong. I wish you nothing but continue success in your business. I went here for the first time after moving in to the neighborhood 3 months ago. I've heard people say that I've got to try their Buffalo chicken pizza. I finally decided to give it a try! The pizza was amazing.. I treat can't stress enough how delicious their pizza was! (Reheats well, too). Their Buffalo is more of a sweet heat than a hot one, which I really enjoyed. This place has a constant flow of people coming in to grab slices (mainly buffalo) so do expect some time for your pizza to be ready if you're a walk-in customer.
