T.J. Maxx — Local services in Egg Harbor Township

This honestly is my teenage girls favorite store so we are there often! It seems to be going down hill! Some staff(not all) seem to hate their job! Just bad vibes coming from a few! We were there maybe for a hour. The store was a mess(I get it people don’t care and make a mess) but to complain about it in front of customers LOUD is not appropriate! I saw a staff member going through a rack looking for a shirt as she looked down and saw clothes on the floor she push them right under with her foot!!! I ALMOST DIED! I have worked in retail and it’s not fun but that was a low blow! Soooo I was curious of what her name was and it was Sammie or Sam and SHES THE MANAGER 😞 So as my girls and myself waited in line we were wondering what rude cashier was going to check us out cause Sam or Sammy had been yelling at them through their walkie talkies (so that’s why they were miserable) We were very lucky to get a very nice and respectful man that waited on us that works at Toyota all day! I felt bad for him! Anyway I will try a few more times! Or maybe it was the time of day we went! I think early is better we went at 5! Also please do not respond and ask me to speak to the manager cause I already saw how she resolves things! Just do better or...

I came here with my wife to return a pocketbook - we visit this area often even though we come from out of state. The manager, Mr. Tylor, said that this store is " a small store " and does not accept cash returns, but that they would do it this one time as a courtesy, seemingly out of pity for us. However, he somehow changed his mind three minutes later and decided not to return the item at all, even though they had a pocketbook from the same brand for sale. I asked him if we could simply swap them - he said no, but we could purchase the one they had in store. This sort of flippant behavior is not credible and this sort of person should not be responsible for a serious establishment...

It was a big surprise! Maybe I'm more things inside the other than I knew they had. I was told they have men's clothes in there but they only have ladies and boys that I saw. The furniture and and pots and pans and dishes and miscellaneous stuff we're nice. I'll come back another time when I'm looking for some of that stuff. I saw and sat in an occasional chair for $99 that look like a miniature version of a Victorian chair. But it just had it was modern style it didn't have the high-backed wings with a bump at the top but this was nice.
