Extremely rude experience—if I could give zero stars, I would.

I called ahead out of courtesy to inform the restaurant that our party of nine would be arriving for a birthday dinner. I was told they don’t take reservations, but that it was perfectly fine for us to walk in at the time we mentioned. Based on that, we moved forward with our plans and arrived as expected.

To our shock, we were immediately and rudely turned away by a man—possibly the chef or owner who dismissed us with an abrupt hand wave, and stated to get out, as if they couldn’t handle our party. It was incredibly disrespectful and humiliating, especially considering we had called ahead and been reassured it wouldn’t be an issue.

This is no way to treat guests or run a business. Fortunately, we walked next door to the Mexican Restaurant Tacos La Fe, where we were welcomed with warmth and kindness. The food was amazing, customer service was excellent. They even gave us a complimentary birthday dessert and sombreros for photo ops, completely turning around our evening.

In hindsight, I wish I had read the reviews beforehand, as this type of treatment seems to be a pattern. I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend this...

Despite a lot of the other poor reviews, I have been pleased every visit. I think one issue is the language barrier. As this is an authentic family-owned Korean restaurant, their first language is Korean, not English. This makes it hard for them to understand you and you to understand them, unless you speak the language, of course. Also, if you are planning on a large group, I would recommend calling in advance or at least going in to make reservations, that way you are not disappointed if there is not enough space or they send you away. Everything is made to order by one man - apart from rice and podicha (Korean tea) - so it does take awhile for the food to come out. In my opinion, it is totally worth it! This is one of the few Korea restaurants in this area, as most come and go pretty quickly due to little business. I’m hoping this restaurant will do better as each time I’ve gone, I have really enjoyed it. They’re very kind and work their hardest; their dedication really shows. I think the prices are very reasonable as well. I would strongly recommend stopping by one day just to give it a try. If you like authentic Korean cuisine, you won’t be...

We have been at Kimchi Sushi & Korean BBQ on a number of occasions. This Restaurant has a “No Take Out “ policy. We went to eat there again on Friday July 18th. There were a total of eight guests in the Restaurant at the time. We were seated by the Hostess / Server and presented with the Menus. Upon ordering I asked if the Edamame Appetizer could be prepared steamed and without Salt instead of the preparation listed on the menu. She went back to the kitchen, came back out and told me that I could only order it as described on the menu ( Stir-Fried in oil , Soy Sauce & Salt ) I placed my order and received a bowl of the Edamame which was very greasy and over salted. The KimChi Sushi Roll was made with chopped Kimchi that tasted too fermented and sour. ( I’ve had kimchi many of times ). The Chef / Owner is very unfriendly and does not possess any customer service skills. BTW : There is no beverage service as we had to walk up to a Hot / Cold Water Dispensing unit to help ourselves !! We will not return to this establishment and will patronize other Korean Restaurants in...

Capital Coal Neighborhood Eatery is now fully OPEN in downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico! @capitalcoalneighborhoodeatery is a micro-food hall offering several concepts at one location. Order your food from one central spot and everything is open the same hours. The concepts inside include Frenchie’s Dips and Tots, Richie B’s Hot Chicken, Santa Fe Salad Company, Kimchi’s Korean BBQ, and Sweetjars. As of a few weeks ago they also opened a Champagne and Charcuterie bar! With my food sensitivities (egg, gluten, dairy) I’m limited to the options from Santa Fe Salad Co and the Bibimbap (without the egg) from Kimchi’s Korean BBQ — which I’ve had twice and really enjoyed! There are no allergen labels on the menus but the staff is good about making recommendations. My friends rave about the Classic Dip sandwich at Frenchie’s, and thr Hot Fried Chicken Tender and Southern Baked Mac & Cheese from Richie B’s. If you’ve been, what do you recommend? Last fall they were open only for pop-ups, but as of mid-December Capital Coal has officially opened all its core concepts. You can find them at 326 S Guadalupe St, in the building that was previously the Zia Diner and Cafe Sonder. My family & I make it a point to come here every visit to AC when visiting our grandmother, we've been coming to this restaurant for at least 5 years now. The food is always so delicious & service is great. The restaurant is run by a married couple, the husband cooks while the wife services the tables, so expect them to take their time making your food right & with love! Highly recommend the kalbi, it's our favorite dish from here & it never disappoints. The drinks are self service, you can either grab a bottle from the machine or get a pitcher of water from the water dispenser. While I understand people may get frustrated with the wait time or hours of operation, again, there's only 2 people running this restaurant, so please be mindful & patient. They're very kind & accommodating to whatever you need both food & service wise. Highly recommend this place for great authentic Korean food if you're in the area!

This is my third time here.. let me just say.. I’ve been to Koreatown in LA, Koreatown in NYC, KPOTS and Korean restaurants around the country.. this place slaps. I feel like I’m home and I’m not even Korean. I’m 100% hispanic. I live about 30-35 minutes from here, it’s right off the parkway.. it’s a cute little place that you’ll leave with a full belly and a warm heart. My very, white husband has been begging me to come back for the ttukbaegi bulgolgi. This man burns his mouth everytime we come cause he’s inpatient to eat it when it gets to our table.. lol- I can say the same thing about the Korean bbq- kalbi. You won’t be disappointed. Also, the woman who’s always there is a saint.. reminds me of an Asian grandmother I’ve always wanted. XD Keep this family owned business in your mind when you need some homemade delicious cooked food!
