El Centro Ace Hardware — Local services in El Centro

Stopped in today because I usually have a great experience at Ace Hardware stores. However, the service at checkout was less than satisfactory. The cashiers seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than providing customer service. I felt like I was inconveniencing them by trying to complete my transaction. The cashier that helped me (I believe her name was Tina) barely even acknowledged me and was on her phone while I was waiting in line. All around very unprofessional. Really convenient place to shop. They have a great selection of hardware and housewares, but not a hundred options for the same thing like Lowes or Home Depot does. So it's easy to find what you need quickly. And their prices are really low too. There are plenty of people working on the floor to help out and everyone is very friendly. I prefer to shop local and support local businesses. Imperial Hardware is one of the oldest family-run businesses here in the Valley. It's a nice hardware store. They have alot of whatever you need for the DYYer or contractor. They have a nice rental department and are ready to help you with anything you need. Our helper Vaughn and Beto were awesome! Ready to answer any questions i had and helped me with several tools I needed.
