WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE‼️‼️ definitely feel like I was racially attacked.

Had the worst experience in this store. Normally when I go in everyone is so polite and even the manager is very sweet. But today I went in to do a return. The cashier told me that I could only get my money back on a merch card, mind you I the item was $21. I used a $3.25 gift card and paid the rest with my debit. I had my receipts to show. She got an attitude with me saying she wasn’t able to give me my money back unless on a merch card. and I said well then I’m going to need to speak to a manager because that’s not right.

She brings the team lead over and I explain to her and she says “just give her cash back”.

So in my mind I’m you mean to tell me I could have gotten cash back the whole time but the lady told me I had to get everything back on store merchandise card.

Well then she doesn’t say one word to me slaps my money on the counter, puts the receipt on top and walks away. I said “I don’t have a pen,” to which she reply’s “I know you don’t have a pen, you don’t need to sign” I respond “are you not going to hand me my money or count it?” “Mam I put your money right in front of you. You can count it yourself. At that point I’m like I definitely need to speak to your manager. She gets so upset tries to go to the team lead who must tell her to get the manager because once the manger walks up I see her trying to tell her side of the story. Thankfully I walk up and hear her trying to act as if I’m some disgruntled customer and I speak up and say hi mam I’m right here.

As I’m telling my side of the story the employee tries to interrupt and gaslight me by saying I’m sorry if you feel that way. (Referring to me saying she had an attitude) which based on all her actions she did. Thankfully I had my husband on the phone who over heard the entire conversation and then even the manager said I was right in the fact she should have counted my money and handed it to me.

Idk if this was a one off but I won’t ever go back into this store. The way this lady treated me and behaved was unacceptable. I felt as if because I am a woman of color she didn’t want to hand me my money and talked down to me. I saw her with previous customers before I came up and she was perfectly fine.
