Taco Cabana — Restaurant in El Paso

PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING AT THIS LOCATION!!! Absolutely the worst location in the entire world!

• In the drive-thru for 15 mins and was the first person in line. • they forgot my drinks and I had to knock on the door to get it. • made me wait an extra 5 mins for the drinks • got there at 12:30 and doors were already locked when they're suppose to be open until 1am. • they forgot the toppings on 1 of my tacos. • the beans were dry and hard tasted like it had been put into the to-go box hours prior to me being there. • the rice was cold and hard. • I asked for no cheese 3 times prior to me even getting my food. Once at the ordering, another time right be for i paid, and then to the manager when she handed me my food. The funny thing is I asked "you didn't put cheese on the beans right? My gf is lack-toast intolerant" and the manager had a blank stare as if she didnt know. Then suddenly before even checking my food she offers to just give me a new set of beans!! • I asked for split tender between 2 cards and if it could be done. They said yes and charged 1 card for the full amount. • they didn't give me a receipt so I had to check my bank statement to see that 1 card was charged. • I called to get a refund and had to drive back. • when getting the refund I gave a completely different person at the window my 2 cards and asked for a refund. Not having the receipt I told him i needed it refunded. Then he says "2 cards? We're not suppose to do that." I asked him to just reverse the transaction and he couldn't because the receipt was trashed by the previous employee. I ended up telling the kid to just void the transaction and give me cash.

This place and all the employees are TRASH. Thank you for being nice to me but you all forgot that if you cook people's food the wrong way... THEY CAN DIE! They need to shut down this location I'm surprised they got away...

I was so happy to have finally tried this place out! I've seen them all over El Paso and I finally went on in!

The line was pretty long Monday (must mean the food is good) around lunch time and it was moving very slow. We waited about 10 minutes until it was our turn. We had more then enough time to look over the menu while standing in line so we knew what we wanted.

Our order was...

Two orders of the steak street tacos One steak quesadilla One order of the chicken flautas (6) Two medium drinks.

Our order came out to be around $30. When walking in we saw that there was a 20% military discount so yay why not use it. We showed the girl our id and she looked at it rather quickly and didn't say a word. She informed us our total once again told us to swipe our debit card.

When walking to the table I noticed that she did not acknowledge our discount. Bummer. At this point I didn't care anymore and looking over the line was even longer, and I did not want to wait.

We waited about 15 minutes for our food to come out. The fact that the steak tacos and flautas were delicious made up for the long wait. Great food, long wait? It's worth it. The quesadilla was not good and I would not order it again. The salsas were also pretty good but the salsa bar was DIRTY.

The food is always scrumptious and delicious, however my chief complaint is that Aracelli and another worker refused to provide me with four dozen of the small flour tortillas, with each tortillas separated with foil or wax paper. I've never had a problem with an order of this nature. I live in Las Cruces and by the time I get home, the tortillas clump together and are inoperable. I've had this order done several times in the past, with each tortilla and there's never been an issue. Refusal outright shouldn't occur and having to call back in an hour, while Aracelli tries to approval from her boss is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS AND UNCALLED FOR IN MY OPINION. I just knew that I didn't need to waste an hour when her mind was already made up. I called the store at Hondo Pass and made the same request and the gentleman that I spoke with approved it right away and I ordered more food. No problem with my order is how he told me. My fellow Marines and I would be six feet under if we ever thought that there was no way out of a jamb. Anyways, I just wanted to...
