Like I stated in the title, do not book your stay here. This is a lengthy post, but worth the read if you are thinking about booking here. For reference, many of my colleagues and I stayed here back in June 2022 for a business trip. Here are a few of the many reasons why I say not to stay here: while I was there, the staff continuously violated my privacy, the uncleanliness of the hotel, horrible smell throughout the hotel and your room, and the staff are simply unprofessional with handling any matter. When I first came to check-in, the staff member did not allow me to attach my World of Hyatt points to my extended stay and never once mentioned to me there were going to be "maintenance" men coming into my room. I was not able to earn any points on my extended stay.
The "maintenance" men entered my room without any heads up and without my consent. Totally violating my right to privacy considering the fact I am paying money to stay there and keep my belongings in my room thinking it would be a safe space. They were able to key in and out of my room without my knowledge and who knows how long they were in there. I addressed this concern to the front desk and the manager or Director of Sales, Rebecca Diaz and they did absolutely nothing. They acted as though I was in the wrong and they did nothing to compensate me for the safety concern and experience I had. Rebecca Diaz had promised she was going to add those hotel points to my account and she never did. I followed up weeks later and still nothing.
Also, there was only one out of two accessible elevators and the one that was working, was very slow. The whole hotel (elevator, hallways, rooms, stairs, etc.) had a foul and unpleasant smell due to the excessive mold surrounding the walls. If you have allergies or a sensitive nose, you should not stay here. In the room, the shower wall had mold, there is no microwave in the room, and there were stains left on the curtain in my room. The hotel walls are paper thin, and you can hear everything from footsteps, the shower, conversations, babies crying, and etc., The location of the hotel also contributes to this review because it is located right by the busy interstate where you can also hear the traffic of cars driving by.
Please I am saving you the trouble, hassle, and money by telling you to book somewhere else and to...
Read moreRoom was satisfactory however we were surprised to learn there is no housekeeping until the 4th day. Nevertheless everything was fine with the exception of one employee who literally ruined the entire experience for us. Her name is Stephanie and how she has a job in customer service/hospitality is beyond me!! From the moment we arrived and went down for food at the cafe. It was like pulling teeth to get her to speak. She had zero personality and made us feel like a complete inconvenience to her. Then, while I’m standing there talking to my family she comes up to me and pokes my arm with the check booklet and asks me to sign it! The cost was charged to my room so she literally just wanted her tip! I’ve worked in food service my entire life and have never seen someone so rude, thoughtless and less suited for their job in my life. Then on our last morning we go down for breakfast and I order a Starbucks coffee from her. At this hotel the concierge seems to be responsible for quite a lot so I tried to give Stephanie some grace. After sitting down at my table with breakfast for maybe 2 minutes I went back to the desk to get my coffee. Her exact response “did you still want coffee, you walked away” lol no. At this point, I’m good. She has absolutely NO business being the...
Read moreWe stayed here 5 nights in late December. The renovation is still underway, but we got a renovated room.
The updated rooms are decent but still rough around the edges. The layout is the same as other Hyatt Places, we stayed at the Las Vegas HP and it was the same thing. The rooms were clean but there were two annoying parts of the room. First, someone had the bright idea to put a motion detecting light near the vanity which faces the beds…which means every time you roll over in bed at night, the lights blast on. Ridiculous. Second, there is a horrible noise from the plumbing whenever a neighbor is taking a shower. It’s a full on rocket blast at whatever time your neighbors decide to shower. These problems (and not even mentioning freeway noise) made it hard to get a good night sleep at this place.
Otherwise, the place is fine. Good central location, near lots of stores and restaurants. Breakfast was pretty good and they change it up a bit each day. They even had menudo one day which was a surprise. Service was hit or miss, there was one heavier set fellow who checked us in who was very nice, but there were some other employees who were less helpful.
Maybe once the renovation is done and polished off this might be a better stay, but for now...
