Tacotote! — Restaurant in El Paso

Where ,do I begin about how bad the customer service is at this location. Today was no exception not only was I greeted with bad customer service from Daphne cashier but also from manager Karina. Daphene was taking a big order there was already five people in line to be waited on I was trying to get her attention so she could get some help at the register. I turn around and look for the manager, Karina never once did she bother to look at the line there was no sense of urgency from either one of them as I told Daphne she should get some help her response was with an attitude and said” Nope you just have to wait” As everybody now wanted to help Karina comes over and says she’s taking a big order and I said I understand but there’s a lot of us in line now. Daphne gave me looks to kill I guess at the moment I would’ve been dead. Karina never once apologized. Not only was Daphen talking back to me (the customer) Karina also made it look like it was my fault and showed her poor management skills . This location not only has bad customer service but it’s also very poorly managed because What manager allows her cashier to talk back to the customer? When the customer is the one basically paying their salary? I wasn’t asking for any thing to be given to me for free. I called back and no one answered the phone after 4 hours of trying finally spoke to Daniel the other manager all he did was apologize but also sided with the fact that there was a lot of different opinions about what occurred. He said they were going to take a look at the video” I mean I honestly don’t know what that had to do with what I happen but they are more than happy to look at it because I wasn’t a Karen”. All I wanted was for her to get some help with the line. Some of us come to this location on lunch break so it’s not really convenient when they take forever to take your order and to give you your food. This is the not the first time I have experience bad service. Not only when I have placed an online order has the order been incorrect. You try calling to place an order over the phone and the phone just rings. El Tacotote at Bassett is just very poorly managed by the managers with very poor customer service this was the last time I will be ordering any food here. Lucky for me I can take my money somewhere else. Where I will be treated...

I used to love taco tote but today was the worst meal I have ever. The food has changed a lot. The quality is not there anymore. The food is very bland like everything is watered down. Meat quality has gone down, tortillas are smaller and taste different. Even the pico de gallo tastes different. I rather pay more than lose the quality. I paid over $14 for two sirloin tacos, tostadas and nacho dip it was all cold and bland. Im very disappointed over lack quality and care my food was made. I asked for cilantro and cucumber. They were nice enough to give them to me but they were frozen. I have to say the service is a bit friendlier. In the past because of covid they were so extremely rude. I was denied entry because I was wearing my scrubs but everybody in line was allowed in except me. The service improved but food quality has decreased drastically. I rather pay more for quality. I would pay $20 for my sirloin tacos if they brought back quality and flavor. The meat didn't even have salt on it. Come on, salt has not gone up that much that you can't afford to put salt on my sirloin tacos. Hopefully they will do better but I doubt it. Once a restaurant food quality changes it never improves. I am not an El Paso native, but I used to love this place when I was here. I really did - it was one of my favorite places. I understand some of what I say can be excused by the covid crisis, but not all. I recommend everyone goes elsewhere until this pandemic is over.

On top of messing up our order - we asked for steak, but got chicken - they charged 30 dollars for a supposed family platter of 4 - this came with 8 tortillas and one container of what looked like 2 cut up marinated/grilled chicken breasts.
