I can’t say enough great things about The Jewelry Source. Truly, they are a neighborhood gem. Their expertise is unmatched. They have a beautiful selection of jewelry AND will work with you on custom pieces. Their biggest value? Kindness, honesty and integrity. They aren’t afraid to tell you when something likely won’t work or isn’t worth the fix - even if it’s bound to be a disappointment. For example, I have a family heirloom ring - a unique setting that always seemed to be experiencing a break or loss of a stone. I’d had it fixed multiple times elsewhere - stores were happy to fix it and to charge a nice sum TO fix it. Brenda took a look at it, told me it was beautiful AND that she could fix it but she wouldn’t. Why? Because she knew the way the ring was designed and set that the stones would always be cracking or falling out and repairs would always be needed - and soon the cost of those repairs would exceed the value of the ring. I can’t tell you how much we appreciated the honesty, even if it was hard to hear. She gave us options for redesign and lots to think about. My husband has also worked with Brenda and her team multiple times and raves about them each time - especially when it comes to their commitment to being the best and their absolute fairness in pricing. We both have recommended them to people even outside the LA area - because they are worth the time and drive. I was looking for a jeweler to size some rings I've been unable to wear for quite some time. I asked a good friend who lives in El Segundo for a recommendation, and she told me to come here "they are the only people I trust with my jewelry!". Well, shortly after entering the store we were greeted warmly by a lovely woman. I told her what I was looking to have done, and she began inspecting my rings. One was my diamond wedding ring, another an old emerald ring from given by my aunt, and a diamond and sapphire I bought in the 1980s! While she was looking at them through her jeweler's loupe and telling we what she recommended, I noticed several GIA certificates on the wall. Each ring was given a quote for the work needed, and sized according to which finger it would be worn on. A photo was taken and each one bagged with the quote and the photo. I told them there was no rush, and I was surprised to receive a call from her within the week that they were ready. Stopped in to pick them up. The woman who helped me was with a young couple explaining diamond grades for engagement rings (smile), so the owner came out and assisted me. Wow! My rings were beautifully cleaned and sparkling, and most importantly they fit perfectly! In closing, I am thankful my friend shared with me such a wonderful source. I went to the store for an engagement ring. To me it was important that the ring was truly unique and reflected our path together so far. (i.e. contained a specific engraving, patterns and parings of stones for what we love)

The assistant, Michelle, was very patient, listened to all my ideas while also being helpful and proactive. This was critical and truly improved the final outcome. While I spent a LOT of time thinking about how I want the ring to look, I did not consider the constraints related to paring it with a wedding band and how designs/diamond sizes look depending on the shape & "style" of the hand. Fine-tuning the details really made a difference.

Michelle is very knowledgeable. She provided through and good advise; i.e. she brought up the idea of a lab grown diamond, which turned out to be incredibly beautiful. We also managed to get the ring perfectly sized.

My now fiance and I are very happy with the product that would not have been the same without the help of the store.
