I paid for Laptop repair that was not done per an agreement. On 3 July 2024 I took my HP laptop in as I could not access the home screen I was told at first that the computer was dead, the hard drive had failed as it was too small capacity 500mg and had to have Win 11 reinstalled and none of my data was recoverable, which I paid $160.49. Then a few days later, I was told by Muhammad that the hard drive was bad and needed a 1 terabyte digital drive which I paid for $128.00 and that it would be several days as the hard drive had to be ordered and the next day was the 4th of July. So what I paid for was Win 11 install and a new digital 1 terabyte hard drive. Then a few days later I was told that they were able to recover all my data from the old hard drive and put it on the new 1 terabyte hard drive and that the service was all paid for. I was told I would be called when it was ready. I called on Sat 6 July as I received no call and wa told it would be ready Sunday the next day and that Steven was working on it. I called on Sunday and was told I would be called Monday. At 4 pm Monday 8 July I called and was told it was ready. I confirmed that the new digital hard drive was installed and a new copy of Widows 11 and that all my data from the old "failed" digital drive was transferred onto the new digital drive and that I could come by to pick up my laptop. I went right in and had to wait about 10 minutes for Steven to bring the laptop out to me wherein I re confirmed that all the above work had been done and that I needed an invoice, which he printed out but no specifics were on it and when I queried that he gave me some mumbo jumbo. I checked the laptop there by logging into it and bringing up one file, all looked fine. Then when I got home and at about 8 pm I checked the system storage and it showed 489 gigs not 1,000 indicating that the 1 terabyte drive was not installed. This morning at about 10:30 (I called after they were opened) and no one picked up, called several more times no one picked up and then my phone was disconnected. They have my cell phone number. I just called again 11:30 and Muhammad picked up but kept saying "hello" as though he could not hear me then hung up. I called right back and no answer and my call was disconnected. So its apparent these guys are not going to make good on the agreed work nor refund me hence this report. MO one of the tech guys actually had the nerve to ask me to write a 5 star review there in the office! The owner contacted me as per theis review in response wanting to work it out. However after a week or so of dialogue including a written email, stating he would refund the money and several screen shots showing the refund had been approved by his bank (no bank name on the screen shots) and a promise to call his bank to call my bank , which he never made and now won't answer my phone calls. It's apparent he was waiting for my bank to credit the amounts he charged me (I was contesting them) so he would not have to pay the refund. She wasn't rude at all, but I didn't understand why I was being charged a very small fee to diagnose a motherboard when the sign outside said free diagnosis. I was still a little bit confused because again I don't understand that type of tech talk. But I paid the small fee that would go toward the actual repair and left my tablet. When the owner found out that I was unhappy he immediately called me at 8:00 at night to find out what he could do to fix the problem and make me happy. And owners like that are the places that you want to take your precious items to because they care about their customers as much as their store. I almost thought that if he couldn't fix my tablet he would offer to buy me a new one, LOL, just kidding. But he was that nice. I can honestly say that he explained it in a way that I can understand and I am completely happy. I have young kids with a lot of gadgets so I'm sure I will be needing repairs and this is the place that I'm going to go because I know they will treat my precious items as their own because the owner is that caring and makes sure that his employees are extremely caring as well.
