I had a pair of pants that i needed altered and left 6 days until I’d be back to pick it up. When I arrived to pick them up, it was a scramble to find my pair and the alteration was either incomplete or not started at all since I sat waiting for about 15 minutes while someone was altering them. I got up and just said I’d be back the next day since I had a dinner to go to. It was finished by the next day when I came back but if the pickup time is known, shouldn’t the alteration be completed by the time I arrive? I just find it bizarre since every other alteration tailor I’ve been to completed the work in the allotted time. It seemed like this place was pretty busy 2/3 of the days I ended up visiting (whether it be to drop off/attempt to pick up), but it was just a patch that needed to be placed on the pants to repair a hole. I guess I shouldn’t expect anything crazy at $15, but i would’ve honestly paid twice as much to have it done on the day originally...
Read moreI’ve been coming to Penny’s for about 4 years now. I have never been disappointed with the level of professionalism and good service. I thought they couldn’t do better than they were already doing. I was wrong.
I dropped off my dress for my traditional engagement ceremony on Thursday about 15 min before closing. Even though they were very busy with a wedding party order they still took my dress and told me to pick it up at 3pm on Saturday. On Saturday I wasn’t able to pick up my dress and panicked. Sunday morning, I messaged Ingrid on Facebook and explained the situation. Lo and behold, she responded and said she would open the store for me to pick up my dress.
I am extremely grateful. My ceremony would’ve been ruined without my dress. Ingrid didn’t have to open the store for me but she did. On a SUNDAY. It’s things like that make a business more personable and human. Thank you. You've got a...
Read moreI have been going here for years... But this has been happening to me several times, so I have to give a review so others will BE AWARE. Pretty much the job is a hit or a missed. And the top issue, is that both of you agreed on the pick-up time (more than a week), but when you get there on the pick-up time. It's either not yet finished, or they haven't even started it yet. They want you to come back several hours later or the next day. I know they are busy, but that's no excuse. They don't understand that parking there is so hard on a busy street, and you drove so far. No consideration. They should not commit to an agreement if they can't execute. They don't even call that its not yet finished or say sorry. So I guess it is best if you call before going there. So your time is not wasted, and your blood pressure doesn't go up. And if you have a wedding or an important event, do the pickup a week...
