New Station House Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Elizabeth

Regrettably, my visit to this restaurant merits just one star. While enjoying shrimp guacamole, I encountered cilantro dirt. Unfortunately, the waitress's response lacked a smile or apology, creating the impression that I was attempting to exploit the situation for complimentary food. Despite expressing concerns about sand in the guacamole, she questioned my judgment without extending an apology. Although a replacement dish was begrudgingly provided, the absence of an apology significantly diminished the overall experience. The obligatory 18% tip and the lackluster atmosphere leave me hesitant to revisit, with Rancho Mateo across the street offering a preferable alternative. Went there to celebrate a friend’s birthday…what a disappointment. Service was poor and the music way too loud that we couldn't even order. We place our drink order and bartender didn’t know how to make the drinks. We asked for a whisky sour, they asked us if we knew the recipe. That should have been our red flag, however we decided to stay as we were celebrating a friend’s birthday. We gave the recipe, we got a drink but not whisky sour, my other friend order a margarita, and we got tequila with ice. After 2 attempts to get the whisky sour correct my friend decided to order a Kahlua instead she figure it would be much easier. Well we figure wrong as we got a rare coffee with ice. The four is because the Dj is a 5 star and the Dj made the place overall a 4 star. Stick to beer because I ordered a Red Wine Sangria and got Red Koolaid with fruit. My friend ordered wine and got the real red wine so I did not understand why the sangria was made cheap. I wanted a snack so I figure I get an empanada. We'll when the girl explained 6 empanadas for ten she showed me with her hands the size which she showed a decent size. When I saw someone come out with a little container I said I know that is not for me and yep it was my order. They were mini empanadas. They looked like they chopped up a regular empanada into three sections so basically I had two empanadas for 10 dollars. I would only come back for the music but I will eat and drink...
