EDIT: Visited again on 4/17/2025. Service and friendliness was still 5 stars. Inventory was still top notch. A consistent 5 star store.
A Japanese cultural goods store with an expansive catalog of traded in and imported items. What sets this store apart is the extremely well curated collection with classic or obscure anime merchandise you would struggle to find elsewhere alongside the common mainstream offerings, music, kimonos and bolts of fabric primarily from the Showa Era finding a second lease on life, unique regional Japanese souveniurs, and original retro games and their systems straight from Japan.
It was apparent to me even before speaking with the cashier Tom that the husband and wife owners took their collection and cultural exchange very seriously. As such, this store aims to provide an authentic and broad look into a variety of areas of Japanese culture with an eye for detail. Add to that employees and owners with a genuine interest in what's being displayed and sharing its history with you, and you have a superb cultural experience neatly packaged into a high quality collection and store. Very reminiscent of Akihabara from my time spent in Japan, with the added bonus of no crowds so you can take your...
Read moreFirst time checking this place out and I was super impressed! They have a wide variety of anime collectibles (from manga to video games to figures to plushies to keychains) from a wide variety of anime (literally every mainstream anime plus some more obscure ones). They have Pokémon cards and do trades, and they do trades of other things as well such as figures. I really love how it feels like there’s something there for every anime fan. Other anime stores really focus on certain animes and fandoms but this store has it all! They also have Sanrio and sonny angel (they were sold out when I visited but they try to get them restocked when they can) and some stationary (stickers and pens). A large portion of their products are straight from Japan so you know they are authentic and don’t have to worry about bootlegs. The store owner and employees are extremely knowledgeable and kind. Like I mentioned before it seems like there’s something for everyone here so I would highly recommend checking it out and...
Read moreNiche, unique, vintage, current anime finds!! Go!! It’s really nice to see a hometown, down to earth anime goods store. Things I’ve found I got excited for: imported sailor moon R art book, vintage 90s sailor moon stickers, vintage pokemon toys, vintage Studio Ghibli art books, Yoko Ishida autographed CDs (she sang for AI Yori Aoshi, Sailor Moon, etc), Demon Slayer goods, JJK, Kirby, traditional Japanese clothing, grab bins of gacha/misc items organized by anime, japanese plates and cups. I took my toddler here and she loved all the cute and fun things to look at. We left with unique kirby goods - the prices are reasonable too! Definitely will come by again to check for the niche imports from Japan from my favorite vintage anime. (Selfishly looking out for Rengoku merch too haha). When I go to conventions, I looove the vendors that have unique items, grab bags, and bins to sift through. This brick and mortar version is a blessing. This store is a breath of fresh air from the aliexpress pipeline and...
