very unimpressed with the customer service. Placed a mobile order at 8:55 am estimated time was 9:29(?) after waiting a good 15 minutes I asked the gentleman if I could at least cancel my order as I was in a hurry. ‘No problem I’ll go ahead and cancel it for you’ great thank you! Figured I’d just get my order canceled and then come back a little later. Come back 2 hours later as my order was never canceled thinking I could just come and get my order now that they are not busy. Unpleasant chubbier white gentleman told me he would refund me, I said no no need for that if still like my order please! He asks for the name for the order I show him my name and receipt and he goes to look for my order at the mobile order station (keep in mind my coffee has been sitting there getting watered down for over 2 hours now) he tells me “it’s right here….” Very condescending I say “okay well it was supposed to be canceled, per the previous gentleman. Has it been sitting here for 2 hours now?” He just says again “it’s right here you just have to actually look” Extremely rude. Not what I was asking, you’d think you’d apologize and maybe remake the drink since you guys weren’t able to fulfill the order previous and I had CONFIRMED with the previous associate that it would be canceled. Extremely rude and immature behavior by both these male associates. I should have gotten names. I will call back and ask for names. Or I will personally come in again and request names. Being someone who has previously worked in customer service, that was disgusting and store manager should really maybe do some retraining on basic customer service skills if you are going to have these guys serving the public. Read moreWent by today to get a couple of drinks (@130PM). Customer service, in particular one person, just doesn’t meet what I would think Starbucks would accept.
I ordered ahead. When I arrived I noticed a gentleman with 3 family members placing their orders (in person) We both waited for a while. I noticed the individual making my espresso con panna with a scowl and didn’t seem to be too happy. I got my drinks and I started leaving, I noticed the gentleman with 3 family members going back to the register to check on his drinks. The female with the scowl just told him “they’re coming”with an attitude. I doubt that gentleman will be back.
I normally go to the downtown Mount Prospect bc they got great customer service. I hope the female employee with the scowl reads this and is directed to visit the Starbucks at Mount Prospect (NW Hwy & Elmhurst) to see what customer service looks like. Starbucks is better than this.
p.s. wanted to follow up as I went by today, tried a new drink, and had a great experience. As I was leaving an employee wished me a great day. A small but very powerful gesture....
Read moreI went here for a last-minute meeting on Zoom because Xfinity was doing work in my neighborhood. I asked one of the employees at one point to turn down the music in the store, and after 15 minutes not only was it not turned down, but it was louder. When I asked the employee a second time, she gave me a look from hell because I must have interrupted her, and she said she was in the middle of something and she will get to it. I don't know what kind of sound system they have, but how long does it take to turn down the volume? I don't think I was out of line. I don't think it was ever turned down and then I had to deal with strange glares from the employee until I left the store.
The bad experience that day had nothing to do with coffee, but if you want to wait for an exorbitantly long time for a cup of coffee, get in line for this location's drive-thru.
