I had an exceptional experience at VIP Home Theater. I accepted an invitation to demo their products, and what ensued is hard to put into words.
To start, they were incredibly friendly, caring, and hospitable to the point where it felt like I was arriving early to a family party.
The initial room leaves an impression. You can't miss the uniqueness of the flooring, the elegance of the lighting, and wonderfully accenting decor. And did I mention the imposing 6' tall red speakers that they were beckoning to be played? More on that later.
From here, a walk down a hallway decorated with movie posters gave an interesting sense of nostalgia. At this point, the build up of entering the theater had additional expectations because everything was so well done, and I was not disappointed. The theater has an immediate impact on your senses. This room is an impressive size, but not so big to feel awkward for a small group. It was dark and intimate, but was very easy to navigate from the accent lighting and light from the viewing screen. And the chairs! If all I got to do was have refreshments and experience sitting in that theater, the night would have been a success. Once the group stopped chatting, got our chairs adjusted, and I stared up at that big screen, I realized what was about to happen was going to be memorable.
The demo of the home theater was done by folks from Kaleidescape. They started with a short but important discussion as to why they were there and what it means to have Kaleidescape in the system. To put it succintly, all the attention to detail up to this point would have been overkill if the system couldn't match expections. Kaleidescape ensured that at least the source of the media was not going to be a problem.
They had scenes from different movies prepared to accentuate the capabilities of the system. You are able to hear small details such as blowing sand, muffled conversations, and the click of high heels. These are details you don't realze you are missing on traditional systems, but here they are an important part of the experience. One of the aspects I enjoyed the most is how good the audio reproduction is. A clip of an Eric Clapton concert showcased how wonderful the audio sounded, but the combination of watching the performance at the same time was truly remarkable. Lastly, I would be doing a disservice to VIP Home Theater if I did not mention the LFE (low frequency effect). They have a massive, one of a kind, custom designed and built subwoofer that only plays low frequences that cannot be heard, but can be felt! This effect is so strong that some viewers wonder if the chairs themselves are vibrating. After every scene, I was surprised to realize how completely engaged I was. Almost instantly, you forget you are in a theater, you forget you with a group of people, and you are fully immeressed in the world being presented to you.
And if this was not enough, after leaving the theater, I was treated to a listening session on those tall red speakers, and it was amazing. The sound from this system will make you feel like there are at a performance, with sounds dancing all around. Even though this post is about the VIP Home Theater system, I mention the audio demo as well because the same technology on these impressive speakers is what they also use in the theater. Hearing the audio demo gave me even more apprecition to the level of detail that is achieved by their home theater products. Everything is carried out with the utmost care and precision.

Read moreFrom the moment you walk in it’s a breath taking space and to no surprise when they take that much effort into the appearance, the quality follows. One of the owners of the space actually designed the speakers and from an audiophile perspective it’s the most immersive experience in audio you can find. This place is second to none when it comes to customizing a theater experience for your home, and the theater that they have at their location will leave you speechless.
