I have read through the reviews, paying particular attention to the reviews that didn't rate OpFor Airsoft as 5 Stars; which by the way was ONLY 2!! It's not only rare and refreshing to see a owner of a store read the reviews & respond to them but in my opinion and experience visiting the store, actually self-reflect and possibly changed the way they do busy. For example, To Ryan Olson from 2 years ago, I totally understand where you're coming from and now/2 years later this was not my experience. By going to the store and talking to the owner about what I thought I needed (actually it was for my son-what my son & I thought he needed) versus what I /my son actually needed. Even though there was no so called "starter kits", for me by talking to a knowledge person (who happened to be the owner) I actually paid less (about 1/2) of what I thought I would spend, still got a great product, and most importantly I feel confident about the purchase & don't feel like I'm spending good money after bad while getting screwed in the process. Now to Michael Fischbach, I don't know what was going on in your life at the time and I appreciate your thoughts but based on my own experience going to OpFor Airsoft a year after your post and looking at all the other great reviews by other customers, it seems to me that, during your visits to the store, you may have been a period in your life that was difficult. Nothing personal, just my opinion. Maybe since a year has past, things have changed, not only within the store but in your life as well b/c my experience was nothing remotely...
Read moreMy son found this place place online & it's just under 2 hour drive away from our home. At first I thought there's no way in hell I'm driving that far to purchase an airsoft gun for my son! HOWEVER, I'm sure glad I did & I'll definitely will be back. Customer service was phenomenal but let's put that aside because anyone can give you great service & still screw you in the end. This was not (let me say it again) it was NOT the case during my visit & purchase. Oh yeah, he could have made me very happy and sold me exactly what my son and I were looking for and made double the money. Instead, he talked to us and actually LISTENED to what my son & I were looking for, then he educated us both & he taught us some things about airsoft and the different types of products. Therefore, we were actually able to make an "informed decision" and purchased what we actually needed versus what we thought we needed & liked. For the owner of the store, sure, he didn't make a killing on our purchase because our total purchase that day was about half of what I thought we needed to spend; however, he did gain something more valuable than a single high profit sale, he gained our loyalty as a future customer and my respect as a store owner & person. Yes, it's a long drive; however for me, it's definitely worth the drive. Especially knowing I'm not only going to get great service and a high quality product that he'll stand behind; I'm also going to get what I need (and not what I think I need) and MOST IMPORTANT, I have the confidence that I am NOT going to get screwed in...
Read moreI have known Dan (The Owner) for over 8 years and have never been dissapointed. This guy can fix any AEG or any gun for that matter with his eyes closed. His knowlege and passion for the sport creates a very valuable experience and is sure to keep you playing Airsoft. Back when I first started playing there was no such thing as a close Airsoft shop. Everything was shipped from web purchases. Dan created a physical brick and mortor store where you can physicaly look and handle the guns your interested in. We have all been there where we buy a gun online and it wasn't what we thought becasue all we could see is a picture. Dan has revolutionized the buying experince and has made information that once was never available more available then ever. You need to stop in and talk to this guy!!! Thanks Dan for all the help over the years and for growing the...
