AVOID this location for grooming highly incompetent people working here, please do not allow your puppies to visit this place.
Katie, destroyed my 12 week old puppies nails with a grinder and didn't have the decency to apologize or see me in person when picking him up. Talked to the general manager and all he did was take notes told me he was going to talk to his grooming manager in a few days and review camera footage. Heidi, the Grooming manager called me today and said that reviewed "all evidence" and Katie did everything right. Not once did they ask if they could see pictures or if I could bring my dog in so they could see it themselves. Not once did they apologize or ask for another opportunity to groom him with another groomer. I had to ask for a full refund which I understand I have to go there in person to get. She also made sure to tell me that they made a note on my account that I will not be using their services. Okay, passive aggressive.
To this moment, I don't have a report of what they did to my puppy. Did they clean his ears? How did he do with that? Did he tug away when she hurt him? How long was he in the dryer? I hate that my dog was in this situation. He cried all the way home and was having a hard time breathing at night. He's doing better now but not having him play with his toys because his paws hurt and are bleeding is unacceptable. These people should be ashamed but they are not even sorry they did this.
I used to take my dog (passed away now) to the Monticello location and NEVER had an issue with the groomers. Now that my new puppy is traumatized from being forced into the kennel dryer and having his quick ground up he will never go there again For grooming. I will go out if my way to take him elsewhere.
Unfortunately I have already prepaid three training courses for my dog over the next few months so I will have to keep coming here until that time is over. I pray that the dog training department is much more knowledgeable that the "groomer apprentices" they hire.
Please do not take your animals here for grooming. Take them to Dakotahs or Chuck and Dons...
Read moreI thought about giving three stars because the store was clean, organized, nice sized and layed out well. I see others gave them many stars and had great experiences my son and I just did not from beginning to end. No one asked if we needed help finding anything or for that matter even greeted us. Then when I was finally frustrated enough to ask for help after not being able to find what I was looking for... and went to find someone to help us I couldn't for the life of me find anyone to help! The store was practically empty when we were there I would of understood if they were crazy busy. We were walking in circles and no one approached us and asked if they could help us find anything (we did this for some time). Finally I gave up picked a couple items including a very heavy bag of dog food which my 14 year old son carried again no one offered any assistance. I asked a couple questions at the register she acted clueless and didn't offer up any kind of help (she didn't even know a price of a dog tag and she didn't offer help in finding a price either) she pointed to two different directions and said you could try that instead of offering to help. What little knowledge she did offer over a dog tag, something she, should know was sad. I asked her for prices (because I had already looked and did not see it) she looked at me like I was stupid and said, "on the back." Since I knew the price was not there and she just talked to me like that I just put the tag back at her register and left with my son. They were almost two to three times more expensive then even Chuck and Don's on most of their items if not comparable. My bill leaving was $100 and I will not be going back any time soon. Worst and I mean absolutely worst customer service ever besides online ordering for store pick up being a nightmare an took forever and after so much time spent trying to get order done they didn't give 15% off as advertised had someone else pick up order an when she picked it up an cashier was like oh you can just shop in store an we can apply discount you don't have to order online, after she explained what a terrible online experience we had. But amazingly even after telling them we didn't recieve the 15% discount they shrug shoulders an did nothing. So I contacted petsmart customer service through email and they say I need to go back to store lol. An the best absolute best part was after exchanging a few cases of food and showed receipt and email from corprate I needed to go in to get the refund for the 15% I didn't recieve in the first place the cashier called over help I'm assuming the manager (Troy) over to help an he didn't do anything didn't give the refund we should have had did absolutely nothing at all. So once I got home I called to ensure there was a a male manager on during that time and asked for name to ensure his lack of helpfulness was acknowledged. Never will go here or order from petsmart again this was unreal how much this store does not want to help or even ensure their customers are happy and get the deals they advertised or at the very least fix the mistake they made.
