I have always thought Verizon was an excellent company until today. Yesterday I went in there to talk to them about the Samsung Z Flip7. The manager was so interested and hospitable to help me. I told him I needed to process paying 2000 dollars for a phone for a couple of days. He also tried to talk my sister in law out of buying the iPhone 15 and get the iPhone 17 when it came out in early September.
My sister in law decided that she wanted to purchase the iPhone 15 anyway. Her choice her decision. We went in there today at about 1:20 PM. The same manager was there and I told him what was going on. He said there were a couple of people ahead of us and it should only be a couple of minutes. I told my sister in law to come in since she had been waiting in the truck due to me checking on wait times.
The manager then disappeared. There were 5 workers helping people but as the customers were helped they disappeared in the back including the manager. After waiting an hour someone finally came to help us. Right away the upsells started and trying to talk us out of the iPhone 15. I assume the commission was not as good as on the iPhone 16. I told him due to the extended wait we had we needed to get to the point and get this done.
The iPhone 15 is supposed to be 0 whether you are a new or existing customer. This phone line has the Unlimited Welcome and it states "New and existing customers get the same price." The rep said he would see if there was something he could do and said give him a minute. We waited another 15 minutes. We then left the store and I voiced my concern to one of the workers.
Not to get into the trenches but as many people as Verizon has lost this year you would think the would want to treat their customers with respect and also customers that have been with them for 10 years who has 8 devices on their network.
It was a bait and switch on the iPhone 15. It should be free with subsidy and I don't appreciate being treated as a 2nd class person...
Read moreYesterday i went into the store to check the discount for my New employer and to ask about flip phones prices for my 8 year old daughter. The gentleman told me about this great deal that would be cheaper! It was the kids Gizmo watch. He said it was on sale for $75 off! With that info i called and talked over this desicion with my boyfriend and we figured it was a great deal because it was cheaper than the flip phone, it had GPS tracking, and we could track who she calls and texts! I go back to the gentleman and say ok. While sitting there you can hear employees talking about who was going to stay later because they could get more sales. After the guy started getting the sale together it turns out that it's not on sale, you have to buy a phone in order to $75 on the watch. I decide to go ahead and do it because we are there and it sounds like a good idea. He kept bringing up that we could buy new watch bands anywhere. And how they werent that expensive. We get home and my daughter has it for maybe 4 hours last night. The battery was completely dead, everytime it updated her location on my app it was wrong (she was sitting next to me and it said she was at random addresses throughout our neighborhood), so i started reading reviews on the thing. All the reviews stated that the watchband was basically guaranteed to break within the first month. After reading more awful reviews and going through all the pros and cons of the watch i decided that for $190 the piece of junk wasn't worth it. I get to the store today and check in right as i walk in. After 40 minutes of waiting I guess my name was accidently removed from their list. They finally help me and I find out there is a restocking fee!!!! So now im out $50 after being talked into a stupid junk watch that i didn't even want! I'm really disappointed in myself in letting a sleazy salesman talk me...
Read moreI have been with Verizon since I was 16, now 42. There service in beginning was unmatched. They were Ritz Carlton level service. However it has declined so bad, even die hard fans like me, had to leave this month. They are so shifty th last 5ish years. They tricked me on getting a new "Free" phone not knowing it was 3 year payoff, so if you want to get a new phone you pay it off for 700 a year later. Then they tricked me into lowering my bill by switching to new upgraded plans, because it would lower the monthly bill.... Only to find out month later the Bill would go up. It kept going up. To the point it was near double. On top of that, the service, internet and mobile has all gone down hill. My theory is because Verizon makes so much money off of sharing their towers with other's. So paying way more for Verizon just is not worth. They gave me $25 loyalty discount then one day just took it away and would not give it back. So went to T-Mobile, they paid off $2700 in phones we had with Verizon and my internet speed went from 40-50 MBS to 400! Ligning fast. Everyone I know loves T-Mobile. Hopefully they stay good. Now I have spent near 2 hours on the phone with Verizon this morning because they jumped my home internet bill from 25 to 50 despite getting the $25 guaranteed for 10 years back in 2022. They are claiming they can't switch it back despite it being a guarantee for 10 years as long as I don't move. No bundling required. They play so many games and are so shifty. I know you die hard Verizon people are holding on, but it's not worth it I would say, they lose in...
