My son and I went there last weekend for his friends birthday party and it was definitely an experience. First I will say that overall this place has the POTENTIAL to be a fun place to go etc. In my opinion it needs to be managed a little better and more effort in maintaining the games and the building. First issue was when we got there there was no A/C in the building. The dad who sons birthday party apologized when we got there and said they didn't tell him when they reserved the party. I know they can't controll the weather and it was HOT Saturday but even hotter inside. When you have kids running around playing games and vr and a lobby full of people it was quit toasty in there. The lady running the party apologized and said that the landlord is supposed to fix it but hasn't yet. Second problem was there was 2 vr arenas in the back so 2 groups could play at once, not together but simultaneously. She said only 1 arena was working and that the other arena was doing a massive download or something so we couldn't use that arena. And the arena that was updating was the better system I guess with more games to choose from I'm not 100% on all that, I just know that only 4 kids could play at a time during the party. Oh and did I mention it was hot!! The kids where sweating there buts off playing it, but I actually enjoyed that because it was giving the kids some well needed exercise lol. So with that being said we made it work until 1 headset went dead. They replaced it after that game. The kids started a new game and the whole vr system shut down and they didn't know why or how to fix it so the VR portion of the party was over which is the best part of the party and each of the 8 kids still had 30 mins left. I will be honest i like the layout with couches and game systems but the Third issue was now up front in the lobby/arcade area. The PS5 only had 1 working controller so only one kid could play at a time. I don't know if they didn't have batteries or if it needed to be charged. Also the Xbox controller the Left trigger was stuck in and made it difficult to play anything. There was also only one controller out to use. There was no issue with the super Nintendo or Sega they worked fine. They had a cabnet arcade game up front that wasn't turned on or did not work, also had another arcade game with a ton of games loaded on it but we had a hell of a time trying to figure out how to play anything as no buttons where marked and didn't know which controller to use for each game and alot of the games wouldn't load or play right. And to top it all off, the water sprinkler in the roof to put out fires just randomly started pouring water out over by the Sega game. I understand that's a building issue but I think its done it before.
Fourth issue was the fooseball air hockey room. The air hockey paddle was busted so we couldn't even play that.. although I did play some fooseball and brought back some childhood memories. Fifth issue was in the other room the had a flight simulator and a racing simulator and two stand alone vr games with tvs. The racing and flight simulator either didn't work or they just didn't want to turn them on as well as the 2 vr games in there. With everything that was going bad you would think they would have all games on that worked to try to compensate. The last complaint or suggestion is the building itself , I understand they rent and they blamed the landlord for alot of the issues I get that but when dealing with the public you need to be on top of these issues. As well as the appearance of the place, curb appeal to cassopolis street which is a high traffic location. Little things like mow and weed the landscaping/grass up front. Weeds where a foot high walking in. The lady running it told us all that her husband was in the hospital and he was the person who usually runs it and knows more about the games etc. She was nice and I do believe she was doing her best, I did feel bad for her also she told us about her car was breaking down and over heating I hope the husband is better and...
Read morei have been going to this location on a regular basis for a multitude of different things. This location has something for all sorts of people.
Virtual Reality
To begin, the virtual reality (VR) option is an interesting experience. If you have yet to experience VR, this would be one of the best places to try. The environment is very welcoming, so it makes that VR experience all that much more enjoyable. Out of all of their VR games I have played, I enjoyed Arrowsong the most. It is an archery fantasy based game, but it's honestly just fun using the virtual bow.
Arcade
The arcade area has a micture of retro and modern games, so I would say there is a bit of something for everyone. The classic air hockey and foosball tables are also there for anyone who isn't as interested in the consoles or VR.
Board & Card Games
This brings me to the final aspect of this location. The board and card games at this loaction make it a very great hub for just...
Read moreI love this place! When I walked in I was accomodated by the store owner right away and he presented all the games we could play. The VR was an amazing experience, they have more than 7+ different games you can play in VR! I really loved the ones with whole worlds that you can walk in, it feels so real. After VR we decided to get arcade time for the whole day!! It's really affordable! We literally played the whole day on the arcade, a bunch of different games, there are enough games to play all day long on. They also have board and card games on the side in case you wanted to play some of that, which we did! We really had a blast. Definitely didn't expect to be there almost all day long. Props to the...
