I had minor work done on my Ruger PC9 back in September, while I was waiting for them to check my rifle and get a receipt I purchased a red dot scope and asked the sales person if they carry the scope mount attachment for the rifle he checked and told me that it would have to be ordered, the price would be $50.00 but only $35.00 is required as a deposit I paid for the red dot and also purchased two rifle slings. I was told it should arrive in a week I figured great I’ll pick it up at the same time as my rifle, I called to see if the work on my rifle was done their response was not yet the gunsmith just got back from vacation and is backed up we will call you when it’s ready I was ok with that, so a total of three weeks pass I get a call to pick up. I go in ready to pay for the work I asked about the scope mount that they ordered and left $35 deposit on figured it would be there since the salesperson told me about a week anyways he went to the computer and told me it’s back ordered for a month I told him just forget about that and to apply the $ 35.00 towards the purchase that I’m making today he said he just refunded it. I’m still waiting for that refund and it’s Christmas already! I called several times, email copies of my credit card statements to show that it wasn’t refunded. My last phone call with them I was told that it was refunded in their system so I guess three months of credit card statements are not proof enough that it wasn’t anyways they can keep that money it’s not worth the aggravation besides I wasn’t going to shop at their business since they are way over priced on everything! The scope adapter was $50.00 I bought an original Ruger online for $15.00, the slings were $60.00 each I bought two more for my two other rifles for $25.00 same brand same slings, the scope I saw on line from sportsman Guide for $30.00 less. I came really close to buying a Rock Island VR60 that they have but I felt that I should wait which I’m glade I did they were asking $599.99 for it, I bought it from Palmetto State Armory for $449.00 had it transferred to a local gun shop because they charge $60.00 for FFL meanwhile everyone else charges $30.00. I was recommended to this shop by a friend and decided to check it out. The store is very nice and has a great selection but beyond that my experience was less than desirable! Let me explain. I purchased a dovetail mount for glock 45 so I could mount my vortex venom. I was guaranteed that this mount would work and much to my disappointment it did not so I called the shop to see if I was doing something wrong. When I spoke to the representative on the phone and described the issue I was having ( set pins that hold the sight square on the mount would not fit) I was told that these were basically a non essential part! Which just blew my mind. I was then told that they were mounting sights without them and selling the firearm that way. I decided to give this shop another chance despite my gut feeling and brought them my ar 15 to do a simple free float rail swap. I dropped the gun off on a Sunday and was told it would be done on Wednesday, ok great. Wednesday comes and no phone call so I decide to give them a ring and see if there’s a problem. Whom ever answered the phone was very rude right from the beginning of the conversation and must have mistaken me for someone else. I was told that they were very busy and that all work was 2 to 3 weeks out and I never should have Been told it would be compete by Wednesday. I then asked why such a simple thing would take so long?! Once the guy realized he was talking to someone else he said ( oh that gun is done and we called). First off no one ever called and furthermore I called left a message and that was never returned either which I explained. I was the told very quickly ( the gun is done come get it) and the hung up on!!!!! Very unprofessional and rude. Needless to say this will be the last time I do business at this store. this place is great for all gun owners. the main focus here seems to be tactical, which is all I'm after and I would say IMO the most popular guns in america. They also have a small selection of guns that are great for hunting used and new and are more then willing to help you build the perfect gun from scratch. They have a rack or AR-15's that are assembled out of the best parts known to xtreme that keep the price very low, but the quality very high. they also have a large selection of accessories, which are often cheaper then the same accessories & brands found on the internet. There background check seated computer area is lightning fast.They are very knowledgeable about all current gun laws, and what modifications are allowed. they will help you apply for any permits or what ever it is you need. I have made the mistake a few times of buying an item for my gun, just to find I could have saved a ton of my hard earned money & time waiting for it to arrive from online by just buying it from xtreme. They are great for advice, they don't pressure you and they give you 45 days to pay off a gun. Many places only give you 30. I give then 2 thumbs way up. I have a large gun collection and have bought and sold MANY guns over the years from all over PA especially the Lehigh Valley. Do yourself a favor. Save yourself the hassle and just go to xtreme gun worx.
