I've been going to classes regularly at Mikey’s studio for a few months now, and I highly recommend it. Mikey is great with beginners and experienced artists alike. He’s a wonderful teacher, very attentive to each student and their specific needs. I’m definitely seeing improvement in my art and am having the best time. The studio is a great representation of funky Leucadia and is very inspiring for making art. Everyone there is so friendly and welcoming. Mikey has done a great job of creating a special art community. Mikey Kittenger Art Studio proved to be an unexpected sanctuary that I needed after the loss of my beloved dog , Nina. I came to the studio hoping to paint a portrait of Nina, and Mikey graciously provided me with the time and space I needed to grieve and create.

From the moment I stepped inside, the studio's atmosphere was incredibly welcoming. Mikey patiently guided me through the process of using acrylic paints, demonstrating how to achieve texture and depth, which was something I hadn't explored before.

Walking into Mikey's Art Studio is like entering the Beetlejuice mansion or winning the golden ticket for the chocolate factory. It's filled with mysticism, magic, vivid colors, fairy lights, positive vibes, eclectic music, and a very talented art teacher. It's local, funky vibe is one of the last of it's kind in leucadia. Every time I drive by, the signs make me want to stop and Mikey's smiling face welcomes me in. I literally haven't painted in over 25 years until I stepped foot into this studio.
