Olde Englewood Village Farmer's Market — Local services in Englewood

I like the variety and like that thier Facebook lists every vendors address. That however shows that pretty much nobody is truly "local" all the produce vendors are either already in the area produce stands that just buy discounted faulty stock that isn't eligible for big box stores, or at very best travel from market to market. Ever wonder why englewood market is Thursday, venice Friday, sarasota Saturday, Punta gorda Monday... Everywhere from clearwater and Arcadia and around, same vendors. None "farmers". Look for yourself a good majority list thier address in a condominium. Even my favorite stand is the pickle guy they order from Wisconsin, it's all over the buckets...

Great marketplace. Shrimp out of the freezer truck were great. Lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. Breakfast is available from coffee to crepes, including scones and other bakery goods. They have kept tee shirt and trinket booths to a minimum, so you can go and enjoy the fresh food and music (yes, there is also music) with a breakfast and coffee while shopping. Great way to spend a Thursday morning. Just go early if you want to park close or enjoy the walk. There is plenty of parking...
