A technician from Ellis Repair came to my home to pick up a refrigerator for repair but was unaware he was supposed to load it. I had to assist him in getting it into the truck, which raised concerns about the company’s communication and liability practices.
Later, the office contacted me and said our refrigerator had “too many repairs.” We were offered another unit for $500. Unfortunately, within just three months, that replacement refrigerator stopped working. I called the office again and spoke with a woman (possibly the owner). I explained the situation and let her know the technician who had recently visited said the faulty unit would be picked up and exchanged. She responded that we could buy another one instead.
My husband even suggested they keep the broken refrigerator and swap it out for a working one. The response? That would cost us another $500. We are so flustered and disappointed.
She also claimed someone would pick up the refrigerator on a Monday, three days later, we had to call. Now she’s saying the technician will take it in, diagnose the issue, and let us know how much it will cost to fix. When I asked about a warranty, I was told it’s only 30 days, which seems extremely short considering what we paid.
For the price we paid, we could have purchased a brand-new refrigerator with a longer warranty and better customer service. We also find their pricing to be unreasonable for the quality of service and equipment provided.
I’ve worked for a reputable appliance repair company where service calls were transparent, labor was guaranteed for 90 days, and customers were never expected to help move equipment due to liability concerns.
My husband and I are disappointed and will not be doing business with this...
Read moreNever buy a used item from them they give you a 30 day warranty on use stuff don’t but use a month later it goes out on you they will check it out for free and charge you for the part but not really worth it I bought a Kenmore deep freezer for $200 + tax a good size I buy it on 1/8/21 and stop working 4/21/21 yes kind of upset but you never know when you buy used someone else had put a refrigerator out there on the weekend and had a note on it A lemon so if you’re going to buy from here make sure it’s new not used because it won’t last long you’re a waste your money I gave it to stars because the item was good when I got it and it didn’t come with a 30 day warranty and yes they said they would check it out in charging for the part but it’s not worth it when it’s an air compressor in a deep freezer he said between $300 to $500 I would rather go buy a brand new one and pay that kind of money for...
Read moreI bought a dryer from them 6 months ago. They said it had been inspected and repaired. The next day it broke so I brought it back, they "fixed" it and it broke again the next day. So I opened it myself and the entire lint duct was clogged with lint. I cleaned it out, then the day after that the heating element went out and they had to come pick it up again. So against my better judgment, I bought a dishwasher there last Friday. It doesn't fit under my counter top. I tried to return it and they said they don't do refunds. I asked Ed " the owner" what am I supposed to do with a dishwasher that doesn't fit under my countertop he said to put it on Facebook market place. I will never go back...
