US Nails by Tessie — Local services in Ensley

*UPDATE: not even a week later and several nails are cracked and/or lifting. I keep my nails done and NEVER have a problem with acrylic breaking or lifting especially not after only a few days. Biggest waste of money.

Went in for the first time to try them out. I was taken as soon as I walked in which was about the only nice thing about my experience. She started working on me and got up to answer the phone several times. Once even sat on the phone having a conversation with what sounded like a friend, laughing and chatting for about 5 minutes while I sat there unfinished and uncomfortable. I asked for a simple shape. I even brought a picture so we would be on the same page. The shape was not even close to the picture and really not shaped well for any shape at all. None of my nails were the same shape and the acrylic was lumpy and uneven. The lady polished my nails before I got a chance to really look at them. The plush I picked was a little opaque which would have been fine if the shape looked nice. I asked her to please remove the polish because I didn’t like my nails. She insisted they would look better with another coat. I let her do another coat and say for 20 minutes to dry and they still were no where close to dry and I knew I’d have to fix them because they looked terrible. I feel like when I expressed I did not like them she should have taken the time to find out why and attempt to fix them. I read she was lazy and let me leave with hideous nails. Which I fixed myself and they look much better. I shouldn’t have to pay $30 to have to go home and file, buff, and repaint my own nails. How often do you treat yourself to a couple of hours of pampering? I’m sure it’s not as often as you’d like. I always look forward to getting a fresh set of nails and a pedicure! I LOVE going to Us Nails by Tessie! From the time I walk in the door until I leave, I am treated with the utmost care. Tessie and her husband, Kevin have a beautiful shop they keep extremely clean. I am never concerned about the lack of proper sanitation methods. Oh, how I love the massage chair! I use it to relax for the entire time of my pedicure. Tessie always takes the time to help me choose just the right color I want to use for my nails and toes. The technicians take great pride in providing quality services for each client.
