I've been to multiple Hobby Lobby's across America, and this is the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I went to drop off a painting this morning 1-23-23 9:10 am to have the frame shop assemble the finished product (after having to send the 1st frame back as it was no where near the correct size, but mistakes happen, this I wasn't upset about) and when I was called Saturday that the frame was in, I mentioned we would be in the following Monday to drop it off. When I began walking back to the frame department, 20X60 painting in hand, a very rude and loud "Sir" came from the front where several ladies were standing as I walked past. This woman then asked me if I was headed to the frame department, which my reply was yes. She then informed me that they would not be open until noon and I'd have to come back. Again very rude in her dialogue. I asked her if they could please let me drop it off as I was very busy (and live out of town and would have to make a special trip just to drop this off again). She said "they don't like it when things just get dropped off, so no, you can't." This woman did not even attempt to assist me. Rather, she was again quite loud and rude with her approach. She could have very easily walked with me back there (there were 4 ladies standing around at the front of the store with no customers near the registers) to the frame department to drop the painting off inside the area behind the desk where it's employees only. The way she engaged me was completely uncalled for, and the lack of trying in any way to assist me left me walking out of there like I was some guy off the street. This is a near $500 custom frame they incorrectly ordered the first time. Had it not been for the fact that we already agreed to pay the balance when it arrived, I would not even come...
Read moreMe and my mom went looking for a birthday present and it was very neat and tidy. The only thing my mom and I had a comment on was how rude one of the managers was being to an employee. As we went down one isle we heard her (Tracy) barking out orders to this employee from another isle. Which was all fine ya know whatever, well then we get to the register and my mom pays with a $100 bill. And this poor guy at the register just doesn't know what to do and you could tell that the last thing he wants to do is call the manager so he could get change (we now know why) so someone finally tells him how to call over the intercom and he does just fine, then when Tracy gets to us he was a nervous wreck and she looked at him with the most disgusted look and talks to him like he was incompetent. My mother and I both just stood there in shock as he's continuously apologizing while she didn't even look at us. All in all it was a nice trip I just wish Tracy would have been a bit more pleasant to her employees and god forbid be a bit more pleasant to...
Read moreThe store has most everything that I look for at fair prices, however I have yet to experience customer service. So far I’ve had one cashier literally throw my change at me and then get upset because I was in the way of other customers while trying to put it in my wallet, and then I’ve had cashiers completely ignore the fact that I was showing them the 40% discount from the website. Unfortunately for me because I don’t want to hold others up I have never made a point of reminding them that it’s their job , but it just seems as if the employees at this location are just unhappy. Not sure I will go back. Dothan isn’t far and Michaels is starting to become a lot more...
