SHOPPED FOR LUGGAGE. Update: I bought the "Open Story" large checked luggage piece after all. It is a fully polycarbonate piece-strongest shell. Target's own brand is "Open Story". It's impressive, but it's a bit more expensive than Samsonite. (See my Samsonite Outlet Store review. ) There are a large variety of colors, sizes, and accessories for their line of luggage. It is [possibly] more durable than Samsonite, but I don't have either-shopping-so I can only make an educated guess at this time. From what I read, polycarbonate is more durable than other hardside material, except for aluminum. This Target store has been highly upgraded/updated since my last visit here. It is impressive. The luggage is in the back isles in case you decide to check it out. Store access is very handicap accessible as is parking and wide isles. Past experience and employee interaction have been very consistent and professional in my case. I do recommend this store. I recommend you check out Open Story luggage here, too. BTW: Black will best hide blemishes from trips. Use brightly colored socks tied to the handle with a unique tag also attached to more easily find it at airport luggage carousels if you buy/use large checked luggage. Light colors are pretty & easy to pick out, too, but show every mark the baggage handlers [may] add to your...
Read moreI would like to start with a positive note: the people who work in this Target store were great; they were very helpful and accommodating. With that said, I will never shop at this Target ever again. I arrived at Target, Silverado Ranch, at about 8 a.m, Feb. 2/12/2025. I locked my standing electric scooter right outside the store, thinking it would be safe as there are cameras everywhere. I shopped for about 30 minutes, spending several hundred dollars. As I left the store, I looked to my left, where I had locked up my scooter, and found it to be stolen. I reentered the store and asked for security. The one (and only) security person who was working told me there was nothing they could do for me. I asked if they could call the police and was told no. This employee dismissed me. A Target employee told me that this kind of theft happens all the time. I think Target should create a safer place in their parking lot if this is happening all the time. I will be returning my purchased items and never patronize this location again. It is...
Read moreThis was the only target in vegas with a portrait studio, and we drove all the way from the other side of town and invested $200 to take our family photos. We never received a call to pick them up, and when we drove back over to get them, the portrait studio (and all our photos) were gone. Customer service manager, though apologetic, could only provide us a phone number to hopefully be able to get our photos from corporate. In regards to the time invested in both trips, the amount we spent, and the ambiguity behind whether we will even get our photos... she didn't offer anything but an apology. She even tried to avert reputational damage by explaining that the portrait studio is a contractor, not owned by target, as if that seperates their responsi ility to assist in a resolution. When a customer walks into a Target, and takes photos with Target Photo Studio, they should not be told later that it has nothing to do with Target. No attempt at recovering the customer service experience. But that's what social media...
