I had the worst experience yet at Paul Mitchell. I had a 10:30 am appointment that yet again they did not have in their system. Twice this has happened. As I hold a cosmetology license I am familiar with how my school was run which was professional and serious. So I did not think to bring the card they gave me as I should not have to do that. I encourage friends and acquaintances to go to the schools so students get more varied experiences.
The person who had been doing my hair is graduating so she told them she could do it at 1:00pm…she finished with a customer at 11:30… I ended up with another student-lovely, hardworking person. We sat right next to the soon to graduate student. I did not bother her. Turns out she is not truly warm or friendly…Someone else will get the gift.
The student working on my hair, altho nervous, worked hard and asked for the details on my color. The worst part was 2 instructors helped her. When it was finished the beautiful blonde color of my hair is now a strange gold and brown color allover! It is a mess. So ugly that after I left and saw friends they could not believe it. My friends made it clear that they would never go to the Paul Mitchell school. They are right. I am so angry and disgusted. My hair looks and feels like a bad doll’s wig. I would never return there so if they wanted to get rid of me- no problem! I would not take a stray dog in there for free services.
Shame on Paul Mitchell School…are you not embarassed to see someone leave the school salon looking like this?! It certainly was no fault of the newer student. She followed the instructions given to her. I did state that the color was off but I was it was because it was still wet!
So not only was the services and color bad but she was advised to dump other product on my hair. The color is horrible and texture feels like a bad, cheap wig.
They may not care about this customer but now I would never use another Paul Mitchell product sgain.
Thank you do much ruining my hair and...
Read moreA 2 day effort, with absolutely nothing to show for it… Drove 10 plus miles to have a face to face conversation in order to determine whether the services at this Paul Mitchell location.
I spoke with a receptionist giving great details about my service requirements which includes a request for a Senior and someone knowledgeable and comfortable with African-American hair, explaining my head surgery 2 years ago hadn’t allowed for much, but now I’m ready to move forward, and needed a fully serviced, (relaxer color and cut) after concluding our conversation she gave me a price quoted and appointment time
On the day I arrived an hour early to ensure I was available when my stylist showed up.
Wait an additional 20 minutes past my appointment only to find out that she was not a student who could handle the kind of service (s) that I had requested, she was a phase 1 student ( beginner) and apparently because of the depth of my service what I really need it was a phase 2 student, which they couldn’t accommodate.
Needless to say, I left there without accomplishing anything I set out to do and extremely disappointed and frustrated.
I was so looking forward to having my hair done, the total lack of regard for my time and having to driven Some 10+ miles in 114° weather is completely unacceptable.
The receptionist at my initial appointment wasn’t empathetic and unapologetic, her position was dismissive and unaccountable, as if I should have known what she failed to effectively communicate in our first interaction, the week before!
Lastly,
While in the waiting area, I witnessed several exchanges with disgruntled customers regarding a multiplicity of issues, slow service and lack of available technicians as well as other staffing appointments errors.
I definitely would not trust this Paul Mitchell location and would sincerely recommend looking for another option

Read moreI’ve been going to Paul Mitchell near ten years or more. I have always been happy with the results and if there is a problem you have up to a week to get it rectified. I have been part of the students experience of growing professionally and it has always been to my benefit and delight. Leah is professional and has a bright future but it’s time for her move on and show her talent. I wish her well! On to the next student…. As far as the school itself, it can use some updating. On this visit and many in the past, there was no hair color remover for use. The school was out of the product. There is never enough towels and the water stations and chairs have seen better days! My question is…..Isn't this setting the student up for failure? Of all that can be upgraded or improved upon, this last complaint takes the cake!!!! The school did not have the dye 4NN which is what I needed and because the school is fairly busy, I would imagine there were other clients that required the same color. This was inexcusable!!!! Who is in charge of the ordering? Shame shame! The instructors did their beat trying to save face but it was no doubt embarrassing for everyone! The students and the clients deserve to have Paul Mitchell products available to them. I have watched the school decline and that’s a shame. I hope my review is seen and taken into consideration. I want the students of Paul Mitchell to succeed and not feel embarrassed when a product is not available to use on a client. Lastly, I am an evening client and the front desk is always professional and friendly! I always feel as if I’m speaking to a friend rather than a employee of Paul Mitchell. It’s the corporate office that needs to step up for their students, clients and employees. Please do a review of your school in Las Vegas, it can use...
