Unforgettable Day at Lafayette Florist, Gift Shop!

A few months ago, my brother Mitch had the misfortune (or should I say, hilarious opportunity) of visiting Lafayette Florist, Gift Shop. All thanks to a bet gone awry, he was draped in what can only be described as the most ludicrous Donald Duck costume. If the sight of a grown man in such an outfit wasn’t already a comedic spectacle, the wonderful team at Lafayette ensured it became legendary!

Embracing the comedic gold presented to them, they not only furnished him with a set of vibrant balloons but brilliantly amplified his public humiliation. They had him strike some mortifying poses for photos, capturing every ounce of his embarrassed expression juxtaposed against the flamboyant costume. And just when we thought it couldn't get any more entertaining, they egged him on to wave to the unsuspecting traffic outside, turning him into an instant roadside attraction!

The roars of laughter from both inside the shop and from passing motorists were priceless. It wasn’t merely about buying flowers or gifts that day, but witnessing a spontaneously crafted comedy show, starring Mitch and his outlandish attire.

A heartfelt thank you to Lafayette Florist, Gift Shop. Not only for their beautiful offerings but for seizing the moment and making it a day of laughter and cherished memories. Every time we recall that day, it brings forth uncontrollable giggles. Mitch might be a tad red-faced when remembering, but even he agrees – it was a day for the books!

Where do I begin! Choosing Lafayette Florist was the absolute best decision for my wedding flowers and my favorite vendor to work with! Jordan was AMAZING and quickly answered my millions of questions that resulted in an ridiculously long 80 message email chain! I found this florist on The Knot and was sold immediately when I was presented with a beautifully crafted proposal with clear notes and all my inspiration pictures. I told Jordan I was going for a boho vibe with earthy tones and let her run with it - and boy did she deliver. I’ve never seen such stunning floral arrangements in my life. I was complimented all night long! I even had her choose the streamer colors for the bridesmaids and just completely trusted her judgement as she is the expert. I couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out!!! I also requested a floral crown headpiece in lieu of a veil and it was PERFECT! Flowers are always expensive but I will say that I was quoted a lower price here for more arrangements than a few other florists! The actual garden center here is so cute too! I took my daughter and her two friends to Lafayette Gardens, since my grandma used to take me there growing up. they were fascinated with how many different species of plants they carry their compared to other places.we each bought at least four or five plants because they had so many that we loved. we spent all summer going to other gardening shops but no one has had anything. the only thing that made me a little bit sad is that they used to have a swimming pool inside that they had made into equate type pond with a bridge and plants growing all over and around it. I asked the gentleman about it, and he said that they had to cement over all of it becauseit's for the patrons safety. because it was considered a liability. so even they were sad that they had to do it. even though that memory is long gone and I wasn't able to show my daughter, that Gardens are still beautiful.
