I definitely felt scammed here...bought a pearl necklace and the sales associate "forgot" to include my receipt (which I suspect may violate California consumer protection laws) and "forgot" to mention that there were no returns for discounted items before I signed the documentation.
Would not recommend this business at all. There were 3 sales associates who got extremely defensive when I asked what the pearls were (freshwater, cultured, etc.). All 3 of them told me conflicting information about the composition of the necklace and clearly did not even attempt to do research (on their own company database) and give me a straightforward answer until finally one of them stepped up to the plate and provided a borderline transparent answer.
One of the sales associates suggested I do an exchange but showed me a diamond bracelet that was way cheaper than the necklace I bought for an "even exchange". She wouldn't tell me the actual price of the bracelet, but I actually visited the store last month and the sale price was around $99 (compared to my $140 necklace). Thus, I would've ended up losing more money if I opted to do an "even exchange" for that cheap piece of jewelry.
Then one of them told me that their manager was out for the day and told me to come back the day after....I honestly doubt this is truthful but not 100% certain this is the case.
Overall, they sell way overpriced pieces for what they're actually worth. I find it difficult to believe what they're saying about their pieces since they either lack knowledge, carelessly manipulate information to maximize their profit or simply do not care about their customers' concerns.
Please be cautious if you're choosing to do business with this place--my experience here has left me...
Read moreI bought a ring about three years ago from this shop. The tag said it was 10k gold with 2 carats. It was on their special sale or discount day. They only gave me a receipt no certificate of authenticity for more information or anything. I went to a local pawn shop today and I am not an expert but they said that it was .70 carats, 10 stones at 2.7mms. The ring is really nice and I really like the stones but it was no where near 2 carats. The original price was “$5000” and I got it around $1600.00 on discount.
Response: How do I get certificates or paperwork for the the ring I...
