Had a wonderful experience at this Lexus location! Honest, fair, patient, NOT PUSHY, and understanding of our situation. From the start, our salesperson Marcos and the manager Omid made it clear they were there to show us options and not force us to rush. I cannot emphasize their kindness enough. This was our first vehicle purchase as husband and wife (and our first luxury car purchase), and they let us get to our decision on our own (and at a really great deal!). I didn’t feel like I was a sale they needed to win over but rather like we were family.
When we couldn’t find what we were looking for, Omid called a bunch of places and offered to trade in a car. He and Marcos walked us to our car when we left, and called us about ten minutes later saying they had found a potential car in a different color. We offered to turn around and come back, and before we had even turned off the engine as we parked, Omid was at the car door with a gift certificate to a restaurant. “Thank you for coming back - your next dinner is on me.” At that point, we had given zero promises or deposits to buy a car, but it didn’t matter. He still treated us with respect for coming back and giving it a chance. These may seem like little things, but in the world of sales, it shows that you are a person they care about. Anyway, we ultimately decided to get the car; Omid negotiated a really really great and fair deal for us and had the car driven over almost immediately. They really went above and beyond for us at a really pivotal and first step moment of our lives. I already know that when our other car has a few more years on it, we will be returning to our wonderful team at Escondido for another Lexus because I know we will be in trusting hands.
This was the complete opposite of our in-person experience at another location as well as phone calls to a third location. For context, we had been to many dealerships and had even gone to another Lexus location more than once. We were pretty miserable by the time we got to Escondido but the atmosphere warmed up when Omid and Marcos made us feel at home. At these other locations, we were spoken to condescendingly, at one point being told by the manager that “if this is your budget, you should look into another car.” No need to be rude; if you don’t like our budget, just say that you can’t offer that. Don’t put us down like that. And even though we had explained that we had made a last minute decision an hour prior to switch to a luxury car and we were not ready to walk out same day, they still kept pushing us at this other location to buy what they had in stock, even telling us that “I can’t guarantee the car will still be here tomorrow.” No shit, I’m not stupid. After we purchased our Lexus at Escondido, I told our sales rep Marcos some of what we were told at the other location and he rolled his eyes at how rude it was.
Escondido just gets it. With them, you’re not a sale; you’re a person and it is rare to find people like that these days. They gave us the deal that other locations literally laughed at us about and made us feel good about it. They invest in long-term forever clients, and that’s who you want to do business with.
Thank you Omid, Marcos, and the...
Read moreRun!!! Cause you won't be driving away with a car from this dealership - they will sell that car out from under you.
We initially stopped in looking for a good vehicle for my son and wandered the lot for a good half hour before anyone even acknowledged us. During that visit, I saw a very nice used car (not a Lexus) but still, on their lot. I decided to stop in a second time to inquire about said vehicle for myself - after over 20 minutes, I still had not been greeted by any sales rep. I went inside to see if the dealership was open and if anyone wanted to assist me.
John agreed to and pulled the car around. My husband was not with me so I let John know I was interested but needed to confer with my husband. I asked him to work up a price sheet and send to me.
A couple days later, I still hadn't received anything so I texted him - no response. The next contact I received was from Sarah, she said she worked with John and wanted to know if I had any questions. I let her know I was still waiting for the purchase amount from John.
It took another day before I heard back from John and I was ghosted again. I sent several messages asking for information, they were not replied to rather, I received notification from Sarah the vehicle had been sold.
I was surprised at this because my son stopped in, spoke with another sales rep, Bob who showed him the car and let him take video of it. My husband made contact with Bob Zepeda who assured us the car was available for sale. He agreed to draw up the paperwork so we could wire funds to buy it.
Bob apologized for someone telling us the car was sold when it wasn't and went out of his way to reassure us we were clear to buy it. Based on Bob's assurances, I completed the online application he emailed to me (Lexus Credit forms) and I secured an approved loan from my credit union.
The morning my bank was cutting the check to the dealer, they informed me to have Lexus Escondido send them a purchase agreement and a photo of the title. Bob assured me he would get that over to my bank same day.
Later in the afternoon, Bob calls. His tone is not the confident Bob I have been speaking with, he is hesitant. He informs me he can't send the title, that finance will and he will have a manager call me. I'm concerned now and ask Bob if the car has been sold? He assures me it hasn't, that he is working to get my purchase completed.
A few minutes later, Bob calls back with the worst information. He informs me there is a buyer in the dealership right now and they are buying the car. He says management does not care that I have been trying to buy this car for two weeks- two weeks! Bob says the dealership managers are selling the car to who ever gives them money first. I reminded Bob I have been waiting for a purchase agreement for two days - only the dealership can provide that.
I was basically told too bad. This dealership's conduct is reprehensible!!! I will NEVER attempt any business with them again. Worst...
Read moreFirst of all, the customer service is nice and professional. But here is the story, I bought a ES300h(Certified) on the 1/30/25, and on the 02/02/25, early morning at around 4:30am, I found out the car’s battery was completely dead, I traded my car in for this new vehicle so it’s the only car I have. I know for sure I didnt forget to turn off anything the day before because every door is closed, properly, all lights were off. I cannot even enter the vehicle, I got work really early in the morning and I don’t wanna be late, I had to spend $40 for uber to go to work(another $40 the way back). As soon as I got home (7pm), I tried to jump start the vehicle, Yep jump start a vehicle I bought 3 days before, not even drive it like 4 times yet. I got a whole day work schedule the next day so I couldn’t do anything with it. Then Today (05/05/25) I got service scheduled for this vehicle, but cant make it because it was dead again, but funny thing is when I jumped it up, removed the cable, and it’s dead again. Tried it couple times. Then on the last one, Engine light, brake light, Steering wheel light,… all popped up like a BMW lol. Last solution, I called this dealership, for like 30mins, I got their towing department number. Contacted, and got the vehicle’s towed to the dealership service. Now its another painful part, after waiting, hand it over to the service department. I trynna loan a car, as they said I just take care of the gas, though I was saved but found out I must be 21 to loan a car from them. I gave the 1 more star on this review because the manager offered to let her employee to give me a ride home but I rejected, I don’t wanna make someone doing thing like drive 15miles back and forth during heavy traffic time and on the last minutes of their work day. At the end, I booked ubers 2 ways (also because I went there with my girlfriend), to the dealership and back home today which costed us $80. I paid 4days in the row of uber to go to work but 10 trips total(including the trip to, and back from the dealer) So I spent around $400 to travel within 4 days is crazy. Facing to pay another 4 trips tomorrow. (hopefully I get a ride from coworkers or friends.) POV: Trynna get the Hybrid so I could reduce travel cost but this vehicle hit me hard. Really disappointed on this dealership vehicle service & detail department, could just put in some work and hand over me a nice non-problem vehicle at first place, so my life not gonna get crazy like this. By the way, the time I received vehicle, it only got not even half tank filled. I realized this when already almost half way home (a new hybrid shouldnt consumes that much when only drove like 6 miles?), which is crazy when its a huge dealership but hand over customer a half tank...
