I’ve been on this spiritual journey for a while now — seeking clarity, healing, and a deeper connection to my path — and The Prism & Pendulum has been nothing short of a sanctuary in that quest. Every visit reminds me that I’m not just growing, I’m exactly where I need to be.

From the moment I walk in, I feel warmth — not just from sunlight filtering through the crystals, but from Loretta herself. Loretta is the heart of this place. Her guidance, her kindness, her knowing smile, they all create a space where you feel safe enough to explore, heal, and open up. It’s rare to find someone who runs a shop and nurtures souls. Loretta does both with grace.

Louie, the shop cat, deserves special mention: always lounging gently among the stones, or quietly padded over to sit near you during a reading. He has this calming presence — like a little spirit guide in fur — and his quiet companionship just feels like part of the alchemy here.

Then there are the practitioners who have helped anchor my journey: Jamie, whose insight is always clear and compassionate. Jamie doesn’t just “tell”, but helps me see what I might overlook in myself; the readings resonate in ways that stay with me. And Jen, her energy, her hands, the way she clears space and resets what feels heavy — it’s transformative. After a session with Jen, I leave feeling lighter, more centered, more aligned.

What stands out most (beyond the lovely selection of crystals, tools, books, and ritual items) is the vibe. It’s rare to enter a shop and feel both uplifted and held. The Prism & Pendulum does that. Whether I’m there for a reading, for tools, for conversation, or just to soak up the peaceful energy — I always leave with more than I came in with.

A gorgeous place with a wonderful community. The energy is fantastic! There are so many things to choose from, they have a wonderful selection of crystals and the owner has a lot of knowledge about them. They prioritize sustainable and ethically sourced goods with a large selection of locally crafted items. It's not just items they sell either, they have people who do different kinds of readings (tarot, oracle, pendulum) and types of cleansings and energy work, if you're looking for someone/something specific and they aren't there that day you can look at the wall next to the art prints and see profiles of the different people who offer services there. They also have a gallery with an assortment of different mediums of art. They host different events, some of which are gallery shows and others which are markets with amazing vendors. I would highly recommend checking this place out if you're looking for specific items or services or even if you're not looking for anything, it's a wonderful community with such nice people. The store itself looks like a work of art, every time I go in there there's something new to look at and a new detail that I've not noticed before you can tell how much time, effort ,and love they have put into the community...

This is my new favorite place on Grand! I am absolutely obsessed with this store! They have a beautiful selection of gems and stones, candles, jewelry, spiritual items and more! I really liked that it is not only an items store, but they also have workshops and information all over the place! You can attend the "Mercury Retrograde Workshop", Reiki, and Tarot sessions.

At the back of the store, there is an art gallery! The owner has monthly themes and focuses on helping and promoting local artists, specifically the ones that are just starting out their careers! How cool!

What I loved most about The Prism and Pendulum is the customer experience and the owner! Loretta is super welcoming, open minded, friendly, knowledgeable, and kind! She greets everyone with a smile and holds space for everyone to be themselves. We definitely need more people and places like this one in town!
