I wouldnt give this hotel not even 1 star. I got in on Friday night at 830 pm on 6/8/2018 and on the morning of 6/9/2018 woke up to bed bugs all in the bed, all over my 4 month old daughter. I had them in my suit cases on my kids brand new clothes that I had to throw away and get new ones. I notified the front desk and they told me the spray every 15 days. He then told me I can get my refund and leave. I then told the maintenance man, him and house keeping came into my room took all the the covers off the bed and pulled the bed back from the wall. As soon as they pulled the bed back from the wall there was a beenie of another guest infested with bed bugs all over it. I took pictures and notified the manager the morning of 6/11/2018, because that's when he would be in on 6/10/2018 I stayed at a family members house in Los Angeles. Ok this is where it gets interesting. The manager tells me what Happened as if he didn't know because I called corporate. So I then tell him and he goes sorry his employee talked to me the way he did, maybe he was having a bad day aside from work. I could care less all I wanna know is what's the end result on these bed bugs and my stuff I had to throw away. I'm on vacation from Arizona I didn't plan on spending money all over again on new clothes when the ones I had still had tags on them. So to go on the manager tells me he has to put me in another room because it's to infested and not safe to be in the one I'm in. What I don't get is why did it take another day to put me in God knows maybe another infested room. Now it's unsafe and not a good idea to keep me in this room. I will never again come back to this hotel. Never just rude and every infested. I googled and it's hard to get rid of bed bugs and it cost a lot of money to have someone get rid of them all. Thanks Econo Lodge for the best vacation with my family and bed bugs I could ever ask for. Your great š by in order for me to post I have to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis review may surprise some as it did for me. I checked in last night at around 10pm on 3/2. The front desk gentleman was very nice. No complaints. Check in was smooth and effortless. However, after getting to my room and eating dinner I am disturbed by loud noises outside. I look through the little hole in the door and I witness an older gentleman beating his wife out on the balcony. From what I could tell he had punched her a few times, and then proceeded to front kick her so hard she fell backward and smacked onto the balcony floor. I didn't see any staff come out for at least 10-15 minutes while this was going on. But even worse, when the gentleman did he did not call the cops, physically intervene, and merely issued them a warning. He called it their "first warning" and allowed them to go back to their room.||||The other guests were shouting at the couple to keep it down. The husband or boyfriend had a bluetooth speaker blaring loud hippie style music during the entire altercation. After the couple went into the room, they proceeded to yell at each other for at least an hour. At that point I packed up my things, left the key in the room and left. I stayed at another hotel down the street. ||||But it gets better. When I called to request a refund the hotel manager refused saying they didn't have any other complaints. This is not true because the staff wouldn't have known about the incident unless someone had called the front desk. So here I am out $71 and I am unable to get a refund, so I am posting this review to let others know the total lack of hospitality and good will at Econo Lodge. I will never stay there again. They allowed domestic violence to occur in plain sight, did not call the cops, did not throw out the guests, and did not issue me a refund. An absolute...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDay #2 of my stay, called the front desk at 10:30pm to ask for the WiFi access code. Michael at the front desk told me he would call back in 2 minutes. No call back, so 15 mins later I called again. He answered, then said he was in the bathroom and hung up on me. Let that sink in for a minute: He (A) answered the front desk phone while he was in the bathroom, and (B), then he hung up on me.||||It only gets better from there. I decided to walk to the front desk to tell Michael what I thought of being hung up on. He was on the phone while helping a guess check in. He whispered (and I was 3 feet from him, so I heard him clearly) to himself, āwhat an a-holeā and hung up the phone, then handed the guest his room key card. He then asked me, how can I help you? I told him, Iām the a-hole you just tried to call back. He denied what he said, but it didnāt matter at that point. ||||Hereās where the customer service-lacking Michael really got me pissed off, however:||||I asked him who the manager was, and he told me his name was Shiv and gave me his card. When I said that I would absolutely be calling Shiv, Michael laughed and said, āhe wonāt do anythingā. I kid you not, he told me that calling the manager wouldnāt matter.||||20 minutes later, I am writing this review. While writing the last sentence, the room phone rings (I kid you not). I answer, āHelloā. ||||āThis is Michael at the front desk. Would you mind coming down here?ā When I refused, he said āOKā and hung up again.||||Did this really happen? Anyway, I hope this review steers at least one (or many) away from this dump. There are many, many places to stay in North San Diego county. Donāt waste your time with this place.||||P.S., Did I mention that they were out of coffee this morning at 7am? Yup. Totally...
