Was very happy with the repair because it fixed the problem but unhappy with their customer service. I called and spoke with the person that answered the phone. I told him exactly what the washing machine was doing and he asked me for the model number. I told him I was calling from work and didn't have the model number but that I bought the machine from them so they should have the model number in my records. He found my account and the machines I purchased but said he didn't have a model number. He sent out a technician, charged me an $80 service call. I told the technician the EXACT same thing I told the guy on the phone and without even looking at the machine he told me what was wrong with it. He ordered the part and had to wait a couple days for the part to arrive. Then had to pay for the part and the repair rate for the 2nd visit. It fixed the machine but I could've avoided the 1st service call fee of $80 if the guy had found the model number and just ordered the part. It seemed shady to me which really disappointed me about their business. Now if the guy had taken my machine apart on the first visit to determine what was wrong with it, then I would've understood but he did nothing other than get the model number!...
Read moreI’ve had two different issues with this company. Both were based on the tech misdiagnosing and giving bad advice. On one occasion I had a tech tell me I had a bad control board for my dishwasher and that I should put it in myself. I ordered one two weeks later and it came two weeks after that. The next week I installed the control board, and it didn’t solve the issue. I could have easily bought a bad part, so I brushed it off and ordered another one a week later. Another two weeks goes by and I get the part, install it, and same thing. I then call, and explain the issue. They are unwilling to stand behind their diagnosis because it wasn’t within their 30-day work guarantee. Ok.. I get it, sort of.. but not really. I’m in over $300 in misrepair and diagnosis on a $450 dishwasher because of a bad tech and a stubborn corporate policy. Myself and my company will no longer be using their services. I...
Read morePurchased a multi-thousand dollar stainless fridge and freezer combo from Don's two years ago. The compressor went out on the freezer this year. We had 4J's appliance and Aayers appliance to diagnose it (didn't want to have to deal with Don's again). Both companies made us aware of a very shady practice of appliance stores selling used/defective/re-furbished equipment as New with the New price tag. You can tell because usually the manufacturer's model and serial number sticker are removed. Well, guess what? This is what Don's Maytag sold us without us knowing. Without that sticker, you can forget about any warranty from any manufacturer or the shady appliance store. Let our misfortune with this shady company be your warning to avoid them and their products. The compressor was a $1000 repair on a fridge that should have gone ten years...
