I have been a customer here for many years, until now. This past week, I took my truck in for a new oil change and headlights. The manager, William, looked miserable the entire time. He told me I should change my air filter, claiming it was extremely dirty. While I am planning on installing a new filter soon, my air filter was not super dirty at all. I am not going to pay the price for one there when I can get one at retail for much less money and install it myself.
I merely told him I would hold off this time. He then rudely smirked and stated that there is ash all over it so I really should “but….OOOKAY.” He likewise told me I should purchase a differential flush and I told him no I get those services done at Toyota. He once again made passive aggressive comments and didn’t know why I wasn’t getting it done there.
As someone who used to work in sales prior to my current career, I could tell I was looking at someone who was clueless as to how to be successful in such a field. I’m not sure if this is the model of customer service and sales that Valvoline trains its management team on but, if so, that’s fairly psychotic and irrational. I nor any of my other family members will be returning to this company and will instead just go through the dealerships for oil changes and other...
Read moreRookies. Don't use an impact at full torque until after you've threaded the bolt in a few turns. The drain plug on my oil pan is cross threaded. They openly admitted it after the oil change was finished. I used to get my oil changed here whenever necessary. There's no way I'll ever let any of those kids touch my car again.
Next time I need to have the plug removed, the bolt will not be able to be retightened, because it is cross threaded. They reccomended I have a mechanic drill a new hole and tap it with a bigger thread, minimum cost would be $100/hr there. The likely alternative is to get a new oil pan installed, which would be around $1000, for parts and labor.
The kicker, they're unable to rectify this! They are not mechanics. It's not a service they can offer. Management guy from their "customer care" hotline gave me the run around and then denied my claim.
Here I am, pissed off because there was no accountability whatsoever. If my oil plug falls out while I'm driving and the pan drains itself, my engine will surely be in dire straits. I have another oil change necessary in 1800 miles. Let's make this right y'all. You caused the problem, now you fix it. Your crew are the only people who have touched that oil pan, intermittently every few...
Read moreI have been here many times with my husband and got really good service. However, today I went in by myself and had a COMPLETELY different experience. The very young man at the computer continually talked down to me, tried to shame me into buying more services and straight up lied about my battery condition and tire pressure. When I declined to replace the air filter on this service, the didn’t properly secure the housing back and now my car has this awful rattle. I am having my son fix it because I no longer have an ounce of trust in this business. So if you are a female and want to use this location, I HIGHLY recommend you take a man with you or you too maybe be treated very poorly. Might I add, all the while, they have your car apart so it’s not as though you can just leave. They also tried to sell me a 100,000 mile service the Subaru doesn’t even recommend and tried to play it off like my VIN number told them when they scanned it. I am more than disgusted with the way...
