Taco Time — Restaurant in Eugene

Nice place and my daughter loves the burritos here. Good value for the quality of food you get. But, I took 3 stars away for three reasons.

1. They don’t accept travelers checks.
2. They won’t let me eat inside so they force me to drive my automobile around the outside of the building to retrieve my food. They tell us not to text/play Facebook games while driving but then this place encourages you to operate your vehicle while placing your order through the speaker box. Seems more dangerous then playing Diamond Crush while driving. Then you drive some more and have to pay and handle your food at the same time as trying to control your vehicle. Not to mention checking the bag to make sure they give me enough sauce and napkins. This is too much to do while driving. Just open up the inside so we can eat safely! 3). There is a tip container at the final window. Very confusing because I don’t usually tip until after I have a nice meal. If I tip before I get my food what do I do if the fry cook misplaced one of my tacos or they forgot to add the sour cream to the burrito?!? Do I go back and take one of my quarters back? I’m happy to tip for good service if my coffee is hot and always refilled but this is just too confusing while trying to control a vehicle. Plus you don’t even eat inside anymore and nobody is bussing down my car and taking out my garbage or asking to see pictures of the grand babies. I’d love to be generous and tip a few quarters for good service but tipping before hand seems dangerous and possibly fiscally foolish.

P.S.- Ask for extra green sauce. So good on scrambled eggs and corned beef...

Been coming to Taco Time for 8 years and they always, always, always jack up my order on the drive-through (more wrong than right.) Also, I don't understand why the temperature of their food is consistently luke warm room temp; I always wonder if they are not stirring the beans and meat to redistribute the heat through the food or if they are constantly scooping off the top which will always be cooler. On several occasions I have politely asked them to make sure my order is correct prior to bagging it, and they either say it is when it's not or they get a nasty offensive attitude. I really like their items, but 8 years of luke warm food, constantly jacking up my order (seriously,) and a nasty attitude when it's really not necessary, has finally put a bad taste in my mouth. Since prices have dramatically risen, I am not going there much at all like I use to due to the above continuous issues I have to endure on each visit. They now put two small taco shell together (end to end) for their super taco item. Medford, OR...

My husband and I drove thru last night between 7-8pm 12/19/15, not only was the wait to take our order just under ten minutes, the wait after We paid was even longer. Then I got to listen to the staff talk about her Boyfriend and other staff comment on the relationship and sending him flowers, but I get to watch what looks like the manager on duty use her hands to put the sour cream on my food. NO GLOVES and the woman couldn't even put the sour cream in a gun to put it on properly. I WILL NEVER GO AGAIN AND I DONT RECOMMEND ANYONE VISIT UNLESS THEY WANT TO WASTE 45 MINUTES OF YOUR LIFE LISTENING TO A CRAPPY SOAP OPERA!!!!!!! This was the experience from the Thurston 58th...
