Owner: If you had reached out to me as I requested, this review would not have been written. Your list and responses are wrong. You simply do not have correct information. As a business owner, we always speak to the client when they are concerns, you did not even reach out.
I have been a client of Eureka Nails for 10 years. Beautiful place and has always had great staff. Things are NOT the same with the new owners. Over the last few months I have observed things that were never allowed with the former owner becoming commonplace with the new. First, technicians are now allowed to add additional fees, for things such as trimming nails down. Not all of them do that, some do. My friend was charged an additional $5.00 to shorten her nails. I have had three technicians that do not speak English well enough to understand what you are asking of them. Bless them for working! However, I do not want to embarrass them by asking for someone else to translate repeatedly. That is if you can even get someone to pay attention to you. Tina was always are of what was happening and mindful of who needed help.
The staff has also gotten into the habit of conversing openly about customers, in Vietnamese right in front of you. I have observed this while having my own nails done and you can hear the buzz of conversation going around the room, obviously something going on. I have asked my technician and she has told me - who they are talking about and why. It is very awkward. I was the subject of this behavior myself yesterday. There was an issue with my pedicure, the woman could not understand English and with out calling someone over to explain, she just did what she wanted. When I QUIETLY voiced my concern with the receptionist, she was zero help, and within minutes had 7 people in involved, none of whom where speaking English. A different technician began to assist with my pedicure and the rest stood in the front of the shop, looking at me and speaking in their language. It was very embarrassing.
As a business owner of 20 years, my employees would not be allowed to treat my customers in this manner. We have a huge customer base that speaks Spanish only, so yes, we do understand language barriers.
I very politely reached out to the owner, and they have read the message, but have refused to respond or...
Read moreI have never wrote a review on a business before, so this says a lot about how upsetting my experience was. I have been coming to this nail salon for over a year now. My experience has varied drastically. There are times when my nails look great and are done very well. Some times the technicians are very kind and listen to what I prefer. However I have had many issues with the owner who I assume also answers the phone (because the terrible attitude and poor customer service is the same) I called a couple weeks ago to make appointments for my mom and I to get our nails done with the technicians we most prefer, I was told at that time that I could only make one appointment. I gave it to my mom to make sure she got her nails done by who she wanted and I settled for whoever I could get. I went with my mom, she got her nails done and they looked wonderful. I had a woman do mine who was very rude and every thing I requested seem to get me an eye roll.... it wasn't anything big, simply can you do my cuticles or buff out the polish a bit. I left disappointed but figured I would call separately next time to get the service that I wanted and with whom I wanted. My mom called first a couple of days ahead and was able to make her appointment with the tech she wanted. I called from my phone 15 minutes after her and was told that I couldn't make an appointment this far ahead and that I needed to call back the same day (which I have done before and been told that I should have called sooner). I proceeded to explain to the owner that my mom just made an appointment no problem and now I couldn't make one for anyday of the week or anytime. She had nothing to say to me. I work in customer service and I certainly wouldn't feel fulfilled with myself or the service I am providing if that is how I treated my customers. I will not be coming back here and that's a shame because I really did appreciate the talented...
Read moreFriend had a terrible experience with one of the male nail techs. Plucked her tips off without soaking off, asked her what she wanted, specified shape of nail and color. He was judgemental about the color she picked, (why do you want that color? Really?) added tips to the existing nail (she didn’t need them but he went ahead and did it anyway), then didn’t do the shape she had asked for because her nails were too short. (They go past her finger tips). Told her to get the oval shape next time. He rushed her through in 30 minutes, made her move out of the chair so he could do nails for another customer, and as she tried to get out of the tight space he kept barking at her rudely. Lastly, never ever had her wash her hands, nor did he. Unprofessional, rude, and clearly should not be in a service profession. I called the salon to inquire about the name of the tech and wanted to pass along the rotten experience to the manager. She offered to fix it which was nice, but it’s not feasible when you work two jobs and was able to get in this morning. I wanted the manager to be aware of the rude nature of the tech. She said she didn’t care, he rented the space. I said “don’t you realize it gives your business a bad reputation if your techs are rude, argue over a nail color someone wanted, barks at customers and doesn’t give them what they asked for?” She did not care. This isn’t the first time this salon has been a mess. Don’t bother making an appointment, they don’t care about the fact that you’re on a time schedule . They’ll leave you sitting for 20 plus minutes and don’t care that their techs are running behind. Absolutely terrible experience on more than one occasion. Avoid this place like the plague - they really don’t care about you or how they treat...
