Buff City Soap — Local services in Evansville

As one of the victims of Ga#*n's decision to discontinue non-flower or "clean", outdoor, or other headache inducing scents, I was in desperate need of a new brand of detergent. I found Buff City online. Now, I think I am in love! Besides there posted scents (including the ones there web page says they do not have) you can actually create your own custom scented soaps and detergent! I chose a blend of Island nectar and love potion. A HINT of florals and lots of fruit notes. I fully plan to have it officially named for easier reference and purchase.😊 Military and vets get a 10% discount and they have a loyalty program that lets you earn up to 5% back in rewards. The staff was young but super friendly and knowledgeable. Shoppers will like how none of the scents are overpowering when you walk in. It is a little pricey. But to not smell like lavender, roses, or linen and only use a couple of tablespoons on each load... (Did I mention how much I dislike the regular commercial detergents that are currently available?) Worth it. The liquid bottle is about $24 plus tax. They also offer a powdered formula. They claim to be able all natural product. Also, they do sell silicone measuring cups so you have to worry about cross contamination. Parking might get a little tricky and awkward. You enter at the back of the strip and have to drive around. I love this place and their soaps. I've used two of their soaps so far and here's what I have to say about them. First, they each last about 2 weeks (I take a shower every day), while that's not as longest bar soap experience I've had, combined with its other benefits its not a big deal. The smell is amazing, each bar truly has a different smell you can experience and that smell comes out strong at all the right times. They also have a ton of options to choose from. Third, its a minor detail, but each bar comes with ridges on the side, this allows me to get an amazing lather for the first few times I use the bar. Thats not to say I don't get a good lather the other times, I always do. So all in all, these soap bars are amazing. I also have something to say about the sugar scrub, I've only used it once so far but I totally recommend that too, it goes a long way and makes my skin feel amazing afterwards. The shaving bar is less impressive, its a basic experience that I've had with a lot of other products, but thats not to discourage you from buying it. I have been shopping at Buff City Soap since it opened, in Evansville. The laundry powder has made a HUGE difference in my laundry, how clean and fresh my clothes smell, and soft to the touch!!
