Ethan Allen — Local services in Evesham Township

Ethan Allen had their sample sale during the month of June. I’ve never shopped a sample sale anywhere so I wasn’t aware what it entailed. Previously, in early winter, I stopped in to look at bedroom furniture for my son but fell in love with a dining room set. A dining room set that I wasn’t really needing but completely loved. Briana, drew up an invoice and told me to give her a call if I had any questions. She was not pushy, just professionally nice. I told her I wanted to wait. In June, she called and explained the sample sale, told me how I can get my hands on that dining room I fell in love with. She asked if I was still interested and again was not pushy, just a simple question. We got in to a whole conversation, she listened and told me to go in to the show room. Briana exemplifies patience. I had many questions, she pulled fabrics, had pictures printed of the complete dining room set, sat and waited while I looked through everything. She offered advice, and not just as a salesperson trying to seal a deal but like a relatable friend who has plenty of experience and can bring together the whole vision of a simple but beautiful dining room. I had an interior design consultant, Pam Ewan, from the Marlton store, I believe, come to my home to do a ‘housecall’ for accessories because I needed lighting. By the time she was finished, she had enlightened me on the fact that my space could also be better used in a more ergonomic manner and that perhaps I didn’t need so much of lighting as I did perhaps a rearrangement of my furniture and to add an easy chair and change a couch with the placement of lighting in a less expensive manner. I was impressed with her depth of knowledge. She did not seem rushed nor impatient, but sincere in her assessment. She also did not seem eager to convince me to buy right away, but to do my due diligence and compare. I appreciate that honesty. After looking around and having other interior decorator consultants consult from other competitors , I would definitely choose Ethan Allen over the others, simply based on her accuracy and professionalism. Ethan Allen is fortunate to have such a class act in Ms. Ewan and experienced interior design expert working with them. Rude, unprofessional-Horrible customer service, go elsewhere if you don't want to be left hanging. I called Ethan Allen about 2 weeks ago. I spoke to Andrea, on of the "Design team" members. I told her that I was trying to find end tables that I could get within a reasonable amount of time. She told me she'd check and get back to me on Tuesday. I never heard back, and upon speaking ot her on Tuesday, she claimed that she'd told me she'd be off for a couple of days, which she absolutely did NOT, but that she would get back to me. I STILL have not heard back. Regardless of whether I was interested in furnishing an entire room or buying one piece of furniture, rudeness and unprofessionalism are unacceptable! I will NEVER recommend this store to anybody and when someone I know IS interested in furnishing an entire room or an entire home, I will make certain that he.she steers clear of this company.
