Stopped in around 8 pm on a Tuesday night to grab a late takeout dinner. I was hoping they weren’t getting ready to shut things down like many restaurants do in the last hour of operation. To my surprise, the place was packed with Mexican music blasting and a great, lively atmosphere. Was really cool to see.
Menu is pretty simple, but being it was my first time visiting, I wanted to try a variety of items. I ordered 4 tacos ($4-6, order individually) each with different proteins and sauces for each taco. I ordered chicken, carne asada, chorizo, and al pastor. My wife and I’s favorite were the chorizo and Al pastor, but all were good. I could eat the taco in 2 bites, but was savoring the moment so stretched it to 3. Maybe a little small for the price but they were generous with the fillings.
I also ordered an Al pastor burrito (~$13) which was EXCELLENT. Easily one of the best burritos I’ve had, the thing was girthy (pause) and stuffed with fillings and meat. Taste was excellent and this would be my main recommendation if trying Tacoria for the first time. I also ordered Mexican street corn which was good, but not the best I’ve ever had. I prefer my street corn to be covered in cojita cheese where as this only had cheese on one side. It’s possible that was due to the takeout container, it may be different eating fresh at the restaurant. I did appreciate the use of a chipotle mayo to coat the corn as opposed to the standard mayo sour cream combo you normally find on street corn.
No pictures because my wife and I were starving and devoured the food before I realized we didn’t get any pictures. Overall, my order came out to around $45, which isn’t cheap, but isn’t outrageous for today’s economy. I’d definitely recommend trying out this new restaurant for an authentic-esque Mexican street taco experience. I will most...
Read moreI wanted to give more stars… I was so excited for this place to open. I went for the first time yesterday and got a chicken quesadilla and fountain drink. It was almost $16 for the two. Which wouldn’t have been a bad price if there was more to what I got. The quesadilla was just meat and cheese. A lot of places at least offer it to come with onions and peppers at no additional cost. I thought it was a weird shape and it also didn’t come cut like quesadillas usually do… I had to go back up and ask for the sour cream that it came with. I did like that I was able to pick which salsa I wanted to dip it in. They had a few options. The quesadilla wasn’t bad! It could have been better, but it was still good. The chicken in it was tasty! The seating is ok. If there aren’t many people at one table you can sit with them. Bench seats. One thing I noticed and was taken back by is that most tacos are 5ish dollars per taco. I would try one next time, but that also seems a little expensive? Overall… Idk. I’m a bit upset because like I said I was looking forward to them opening. I feel like I over paid for barely any food. It was very plain. I thought after how much it was hyped up the food would be different and great. However I am trying to keep in mind that they opened recently and still have things they may need to work out. I’ll also give it one more try to see if I have a better experience. Maybe the next time I go I’ll try something different from the menu. If I go back I’ll be sure to update...
Read more2nd visit 2 starts for service and 3 for food throughly disappointed going here our second time. Food was still good, however, that was it. They gave me the wrong taco meat, they gave me 2 meals, chips and a cup to carry without any assistance. I had to ask for my cup and go back for my guacamole because they didn’t give it. They called my name out but so quietly I couldn’t hear it over the music. The cashier had a pissed off look on her face the entire time, made no effort to talk with customers, don’t worry her co-worker spent plenty of effort rubbing her and flirting to try and cheer her up. Didn’t need to see all that.
First visit 4.5 Stars Visited in the first week of this location being open. Al Pastor Burrito was delicious, added their homemade sauces and really took it up a notch. Also had Carne Asada and Al Pastor Tacos: Carne Asada was super tender and great with the Roja sauce both were good and hard to decide which was better. Ordered side order of street corn, first upset of the meal. It was good but the corn was kind of flavorless and not warm enough. I got the guava and basil drink which was really refreshing and tasty.
Staff was super friendly and answered several questions we had about the company and products. Music was a little loud for my liking, especially if the place was full and people would have to talk over it. I would probably give five stars if it wasn’t for the corn, it wasn’t bad, just not 5 stars. It was the only four star or less part...
