Sadly, Shore Plaza 1984 is the closest thing we have to a dead Mall in the area. Most of the anchor stores are gone, there are vacancies abound and the whole place just feels like wasted potential anymore. I really don't understand why Northampton County just twiddles their thumbs instead of looking into - I don't know - expanding the areas where roses and Peebles used to be and maybe put in something along the lines of a Target. I would rather drive 20 minutes than two hours to have options other than Walmart.
But seriously, you know you've crossed into Northampton County once you get into Exmore and see all of the closed down businesses and vacant buildings. It's almost as if the powers-that-be would rather focus on nostalgia and bygone times while letting the buildings rot away versus moving a bit more forward and offering more job potential and helping out their community.
It's heartbreaking. All that's out there is Ace Hardware, Dollar General, Food Lion, a nail salon ( possibly a nail salon), and what I think was a Subway. Look at what they used to be and where they are now. They've come a long...

Just looks like a run down strip mall that was never taken care of especially the parking lot. Be aware of...
