Chattahoochee Technical College - Marietta Campus — Local services in Fair Oaks

My Google keeps asking for a review despite me not being in the area for years. I applied to Chatt tech with joy to start my degree to becoming a physical therapist. After being admitted I did orientation. At orientation we were told which building held the 300/900 etc adn financial aid and admissions etc. We were then told we would be called be last name to do our schedules and we were to leave right after, during this time we were left to watch Jurassic Park (I wasn't to made because I love it but thought we would get more info) take 3min to do out schedule and told to leave. After selecting my ONLINE classes in 2min I was told to leave. In mid Jan I started class every passing English by well over 40+ points, I still took English and math (failing math my 2 points but fine because I have to take some academics). After forcing job to let to me attend class in person for 2 hours a day for the 1st week I was told by the teachers not to worry about the temporary password and username. After day 3 of being told this, I had concerns because my job would only let me off for a few hours to do my testing on Fridays. By the end of the week and expressing my concerns to the professors the entire week, I was still told not to worry. I worked over 40hours 6 days a week and cared for my child alone while logging into my classes online. By end of February I could no longer log on (obviously because of the temporary username and password) after demanding time off from work and getting to the school I was told by financial aid to go speak with my professors, who told me to go to the bookstore. After getting there and looking for what I needed, I went to the register and explained my situation...the young man lead me to a cardboard wrapped in plastic with a paper in it with a user name, password and barcode. I grabbed one for English and one for math. I was told it was over $300 for both I was PERPLEXED and PISSED, because I had gone to financial aid SO many times to insure everything would be covered by my scholarship and pale grant and was told, everything was covered. So the bookstore sent me to financial aid, who sent me back to the bookstore, who sent me BACK to financial to find out....I had to wait for my student return to get the money for the piece of cardboard with paper with username and password in it. I was told to WAIT until April for student return and classes ended mid May. I had the money during orientation to pay for anything extra, but was told I wouldn't have to, because FASFA/PALE Grant was covered. I ended up not being able to pay for what I needed in time and do to failure of information during orientation and lies no matter how many times I went to financial aid to ensure this wouldn't happen. Student refund came mid April and classes ended mid May. Ther me was NO WAY I could make up all the work and test, I couldn't do, because no one wanted to tell me the truth and the professors kept telling me to not worry about the temporary username/password. I had to pay back pale grant AND chatt tech for something that was NOT my fault. I never had the extra income to pay pale back or chatt tech and am now behind by years of getting my doctorate. Every time I tried to enroll at a school, I was rejected because of the situation with chatt tech. I could have my doctorate by now but held back by lack of people communicating and real action or effort to ensure I was enrolled properly and got all the information I needed to have a smooth...

On Thursday July 20th 2023 I called a few times and could not reach anyone on the phone so drove one hour to arrive at the Marietta campus off of South Cobb Drive the GPS directs me I see letters a through G if I'm not mistaken and the only clear concise directive which is the library after driving around to two buildings which do not have any indication as far as what their use is I go to the library which thank God someone was there to help. I did express my concerns as far as why is it made so difficult for people that are coming in wanting to spend money at this location to further their education with the most idiotic thing being signs for buildings but again no directive as far as where to go for what services I started to email the dean directly but the Google review will cover more ground and whomever is responsible to let them know that this is not it. I finally walk into admissions where the librarian directed me and to look for the fountain which I did by the time I walk in it is 3:30 p.m. For student services all of the windows have signs that they are closed at 3:30 p.m. on a Thursday during business hours there is no one to help with anything there is a nice lady at the financial aid window and another lady whom is a cashier that's on the phone with a student that's it. I was so annoyed that I wanted to yell out loud I couldn't get anyone on the phone so I had to drive there and it's just as well I just as well as stayed at home. After this experience I have decided to choose another school to further my education. This absolutely makes zero sense I don't know what's going on here and honestly I don't care. But after this experience there is no way I will enroll in this school. It is sad and also shameful that people are put through this kind of foolishness just to get assistance to ultimately spend...

If you’re questioning Chatt Tech for the LPN Program, this is your sign GO ELSEWHERE. Coleeta Davis the director of the LPN Program, DOES NOT set you up for success. She is only concerned about leading the number one LPN program in the region. Out of a class of 40 only about 10 to 8 will actually graduate her program. And the Dean Claudia Grooms will not be able to help you once you waste your time, energy, and money, she will not even communicate with you. The program was better under Quetina Pittman-Howell lead, it has since gone down hill. Save your time, save your energy, save your money, don’t let Coletta Davis waste your money and time. She will have you purchasing books you never use, she will have you travelling hours away from home with no consideration to your other obligations, she will speak to you like you are beneath her, instead of her being the educator she signed up to be. DON’T DO IT. Her program is the worst I have experienced. Also, before selecting this college and location consider the horrible campus parking. It has no room to accommodate the amount of students that attend the college. Tuition is expensive enough, you would think they would expand the parking lot with the amount of money they obtain from students. I just would not recommend this college to anyone. I would give zero...
